52 Week Scrapbook Challenge - Paint the Edges

I have to say I'm really enjoying this challenge of Mary's! It's so fun to try new things and that is exactly what this challenge is doing for me week after week! I've not used acrylic paint on any of my layouts before...so here is another first! :o)
This is a picture of my youngest daughter Andrea, when she was a baby! She's holding her friend "Doggy" that her Dad bought for her on the day she was born. Andrea is now 21 and still has her dear little friend. I don't think I'll make mention of her cute little hair-do! lol Andrea and I were just discussing a young guy we saw on the street recently who had a very similar hair style! haha

Wow, Nancy! Congratulations! I just came from Tracy's "I Wanna Build a Memory," and saw the great achievement she bestowed upon you!

WTG! BTW, I love your layout! It is wonderful...and I love the photo of your "little" girl. She always won't be, won't she?

Love this layout. The acrylic paint green and white? I really like how you did the edges, almost like using an ink pad to smudge the edges. I also like that bit of background matte being at an angle. Really draws the eye to your sweet daughter. Who would have known that her "doo" would years later be seen on city streets :-D

You are so creative. It sounds to me as though this challenge has freed you from the "same old, same old" and has allowed you to explore. What fun that is.

Once again, you have WOWED me with your work :-)
Love you - Leslie

What an absolutely adorable page! I can't wait to start mine. Was it fun to use the paint? I think it looks great!

FYI: I used to do that with my kid's hair too. After every bath we would fashion all the hair into a faux mohawk, it was so adorable. My mom started that tradition. It's very "Gerber" baby. Andrea, you look so sweet!
