40 Day Challenge - Day 2 - Stitching

40 Day Challenge - Day 1 - Puzzle Pieces

Mary over at 2ScrapAlot started this Challenge so long ago that she is already finished! lol I'm just getting started...but I'm going to plug along at my own pace until I'm finished all 40 Challenges. I think I'm going to have a great time with this one! :o)

Scripture Challenge - Purpose

This was such a great word study for me! As I was studying the Scriptures that contained the word "purpose" there were three passages that really spoke to me and three pages that were inspired! Since Patter spoke of a RAK this time...I thought it would be rather inappropriate of me to submit three pages! lol So I will probably do the other two pages later! :o)

The Scripture verse I chose for this page is Philippians 2:2. I really wanted to add the three verses that followed as well but I can only fit so much on one 6 X 6 page! So I'll share the complete passage here: "...then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus."

These verses sure go hand in hand with I learned in the "example" study! We are to purposefully follow Christ's example in action and attitude! It's also interesting how that word "joy" keeps coming up...gotta love the JOY!!!

Scripture Challenge - Example

Well, Jesus says it quite clearly here, doesn't He? He set the example for us and we should do as He did. He spoke these words right after washing the feet of his disciples...such a humble act of service! Verse 17 goes on to say: "Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them."

I have been blessed in my life with people who have actively chosen to follow the example that Christ set. They have set a wonderful example for me in my life! It is my purpose in life to follow Christ's example and honor Him in all that I do so that other's will know Him through me!

Scripture Challenge - Quiet

Oh, how I love the quiet! Isn't it amazing what you can hear in the quiet? Yet...when you don't want to listen...that quiet can become quite deafening!! lol

This was a wonderful study again, wasn't it? However, God kept bringing me back to this verse that He gave me quite a number of years ago. I used to have my own website where I sold my finished handcrafted items. This verse was featured on my homepage. It really offers wise instruction. On my page I left out the last part of verse 11, and I really like how it continues in verse 12, so I'll put it all together here:

"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody." 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
