An Altered Birdhouse!

When Christian Paper Crafts posted their Bible Verse Thursday #121 yesterday, I was totally inspired to create! I love the verses from Psalm 84 that they used! You can read Abby's post HERE. After seeing the challenge, I immediately thought of all the wooden birdhouses that I have and knew that I had to alter one. It will be a perfect new addition for my sunroom. It was a really fun project to do and I've already started another one. Hope you like it! :o)

ABC Scripture Challenge - Qualified

Hello my friends! Do you ever feel like you are just not QUALIFIED for some of the roles you have in life; roles such as wife, mother, or friend? Or perhaps it's your role at work. Do you sometimes feel inadequate for the position that you hold? After you're finished reading my post, please go to Patter's post HERE and see what she shares about this.
The really cool thing is this...God has a plan for our lives that includes certain roles that we are meant to fulfill. Since God created us for those roles, He also will equip us with everything we need to fulfill those roles in a capable manner. When we need guidance and direction both the Lord and the Scriptures are available to help us, and with that help we can be fully QUALIFIED! :o)

52 Week Scrapbook Challenge - Wrap photos with string or ribbon and add a tag

This was such a fun page to do...once I figured out what I was doing! :o) This page is for my brother. The only picture he can draw is a VW symbol...seriously! lol When I saw this stamp set in the clearance bin I knew I HAD to get it. The photo is of a little model on a shelf in a tea room in a railroad museum. It looks just like the Beetle that my brother has in his garage! Yes, he will be reading this post! ;o) I hope you all enjoy it because he won't so much...if you know what I mean?! But that's what older sisters are for, right? :o)

ABC Scripture Challenge - Portion

YAY! I am now back on track with my Scripture Challenge. I don't know if any of you noticed but my last couple of Scripture Challenge pages were actually a little bit tardy! *gasp* I know! However, with this page I have caught up and am back on schedule! :o)
Since so many of you received encouragement from my "New" Scripture page I thought I would share this verse for my "Portion" page. This particular Scripture verse is a very well used one in my Bible. It's been underlined and marked with an asterisk or two! I've found it very helpful when I'm in pain. We all know that this flesh of ours fails us time and again...and again and again! lol The verse even mentions our heart, if we want to go there? ..."but God is the strength of my heart and my portion FOREVER." Again, He's the only thing that REALLY lasts for eternity! Now THAT I find encouraging! :o)

ABC Scripture Challenge - Others

Everyone seems to be familiar with the GOLDEN RULE. Whether you consider yourself to be "religious" or not, we're all very familiar with the concept of treating others as we would like to be treated. Did you know that it comes straight from the Bible? These instructions come straight from Jesus! For some reason it's an action that we often think of and put into practice more during the Christmas season when the spirit of "good will toward man" is more apparent. I would like to encourage each of us to do something kind for someone else right now in the middle of summer. Not only will you make them happy, but you'll also please God! How great is that! :o)
