An Engagement Card?

Happy Tuesday, my friends!
Today IS Tuesday, isn't it? lol My goodness time is flying by quickly these days! Just don't ask me where it goes! lol
Did you see the title of this card? Did you perhaps wonder why I would be making my first engagement card? That's a question I CAN answer...
My daughter, Andrea, has just been engaged to her boyfriend, Ian! Woohoo!! We are all SO EXCITED!! I know many of you will picture Andrea as being far too young to get married! You're so used to seeing her in my layouts as a baby or a little girl! Well, she's all "growed up"! :o)
When I got down to the business of creating this card, I had a very difficult time finding anything for engagements or weddings in my stash. I do have a Wedding Slice Design Card, thanks to my friend Friday, but nothing else! Then I remembered this paper with the rings on it. I had bought the paper pad with my other daughter, Liane, in mind because it was full of jewelry, purses and shoes. She works in a jewelry store part time, and I thought it would be perfect for her. Well, this sheet of paper was perfect for THIS occasion! My stamps are sadly lacking in these categories though, so I had to do a lot of scrounging to find some that were suitable. I guess I'll just have to go shopping! ;o)
Andrea loves bright colors, so I added the pop of red. I used quite a number of brand new items on this card and I think she...and Ian...will really like it!
So...now I have an assignment for ALL of YOU, my friends! I need you to all start posting wedding ideas and projects! That's a whole new area for me...and I just know it's going to be SO MUCH FUN!! :o)

For the inside of the card I layered two stamps. The swirly heart is from a Valentine set that I just picked up on sale. To add the red inside I played around with a Fiskar's border punch. I thought it would work since it was diamondish. This was my first attempt and it came out really nice. I just happened to have these square rhinestones in my stash that fit perfectly onto the little red diamond shaped bits that were created!
