52 Week Scrapbook Challenge - Stamp on Patterned Paper

Hello, my dear strangers! lol I don't know how this month is slipping by so quickly, do you? I have to tell you that I have been very busy crafting...I just haven't had things to show you. So today I thought I better do something about that. I quickly put together my next...and second to last...52 Week Challenge page. Please keep in mind that I still have to back-track and do my Photo Montage page. So does that make this my second to second last page, or my third to last page? hehe

As for what else I've been working on...oh boy! I've been doing a huge re-organization of my craft room! It's truly one of my favorite things to do. It's also very time consuming and somehow my sewing room has also gotten involved this time! I've also been working on Kathy Orta's latest book project. I really do enjoy her projects and this one is SO MUCH FUN!! I'll be sharing that with you soon! I've got a couple of other things on the go too. Everything just takes me a long time...because I'm slow! :o)

Okay, on to this page. It was a simple challenge. I stamped on patterned paper. Then I kind of got carried away and stamped some more...and some more! This was the first photo I pulled out of the box, so I just went with it. It was 1991 and my girls were 3 and 4. They were just having one of their typical fun play times. We had this blue sectional and they would take off all the cushions and build a big cushion fort. Then pile all the Barbies and Barbie cases on top and inside and all around. Such sweet innocent faces, and such messy blonde curls! lol Just an ordinary day captured on film...I love it! Hope your weekend is full of JOY!! :o)

Yes, I Made Him A Card Of His Own! :o)

Hello, and happy Tuesday to you all!
Today is my sweet husband's birthday! You know that I just had to make him an actual birthday card of his own and I'm sharing it with you today. I couldn't believe it when I found a Bugaboo digi image in my files that looked EXACTLY like me! ;o) So I colored that up for the front  of the card. My intent was to have the "Happy Birthday" look like graffiti but my letter stamps were too big. This was the only sentiment I had that fit. Since the bricks were embossed the image didn't stamp solid, so it kind of worked the way I wanted! lol
Here's the front of the card:

And here's the inside:

Isn't that cute? It's a pop-up! I should have taken a side angle photo too. I will the next time I use it. I had to take this photo before I wrote in it or I'd be adding a lot more color to the face of my image! haha The rest of the writing was really funny and so cute! I had made the card for him yesterday. So last night I asked him what I should bake him for his birthday. His answer was..."Ice cream!" lol Have a happy day, my friends! :o)

"Delightful" Card

Hello, my friends!
I thought I better get something posted before you all forget about me! :o)
I didn't have anything in mind when I headed to my craft room. When I got there I saw my latest Simon Says Stamp Card Kit on my table. So I pulled that out and started playing. Most items were from the July Kit but a couple of items were from previous kits. The only thing that isn't from the Card Kit is the white embossing powder and the ink I used around the edges. I'm really enjoying getting these great kits every month. I also have to say that these new stamp sets by Simon Says Stamps are wonderful! The sentiment I used on this card is a particular favorite of mine. I may have mentioned it before but "delightful" is on that "Favorite Word List" of mine that I keep bringing up! ;o) For more information on joining the Kit Club go HERE.
I told my sweet husband that I thought of him when I made this card. He really is delightful! He didn't even point out that it's kinda girly! lol He has a birthday coming up this next week and I'm thinking he'll tell me that this should be his card...just so I don't have to make another one. I'll have to tell him it's okay, I can make another  one for him...now that I'm a cardmaker! haha Have a wonderful weekend! :o)

A Die For A Sketch - Challenge No 2

Hello, my friends! Can you believe a month has already passed since Challenge No 1 at A Die For A Sketch! A special thank you to all of you that linked up a project! Another thank you to everyone that just came by to take a look! We had a wonderful response for our very first round!

It was so interesting to see how many of the projects included colored images on them. Now, I know for a fact that some people do not like to color. I actually know someone who has an intense dislike for coloring. Yes, I know it's hard for some of us to understand but we will not judge them, will we? lol So it was with these people in mind that I created my card this month. There is no colored image on my card! So you see, even if you don't color you can join the fun at A Die For A Sketch. Remember the rules are simple; follow the sketch and use a die!

So here is the sketch for Challenge No 2:

Here is my card! I guess I must confess to a tiny bit of coloring. I used my Versamark pen to color some bits of the teacup. Then I heat embossed it with gold embossing powder so it would look like one of my special china teacups. I'm afraid it was difficult to get it to show properly in a photo. We've had such crazy storms around here the lighting has been interesting. The doily behind the teacup was misted with Ranger Perfect Pearl Mist so it shimmers beautifully. The pretty corners are an old Cuttlebug die. The wonderful sentiment that inspired this card is from my most recent card kit from Simon Says Stamp.

If you like to color...or not...I hope to see you join us this month for Challenge No 2! :o)
