Lia Stampz - Challenge #66 - CAS

Hello, my friends!

Here is more of my bombardment of posts! :o)
I have another post coming up in a few hours.
I must say that I am rather frustrated with blogger these days.
They don't list my posts in the reader when I publish them, they seem to do it whenever they feel like it.
Also, my newsletter has not been going out!
I really hope you'll come back to see my next post, and please scroll down to see the ones you've missed. :o)
There's a new challenge beginning over at Lia Stampz
This time it's CAS - Clean and Simple!

I don't think you can get much more CAS than the card I made.
I used an older image called "Lady" and coloured it up.
I layered it and then I used a fun freebie from Create With TLC
Doesn't it work perfectly with this image?

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock;
Image: Lia Stampz - Lady,
Prismacolor Pencils and OMS;
Sentiment: Create With TLC.

Sushi Doll - So Chill

Hello, my friends!

Have you noticed I've been giving you a little break from my ramblings?
That's because I'm gearing up to bombard you with post after post after post! :o)

Today I've been playing with a new Sushi Doll image.
She's one of the new release images, and she's called "So Chill."
You can find it, along with all the other Sushi Dolls, right HERE.
Isn't she a cutie?

I simply coloured her up and glittered her wings.
She is set in a scene of soft and fluffy clouds.
I didn't have the sentiment I wanted, so I made this one up, printed it out, and cut it as a cloud.
I hope to add it to my "Free Stuff" page soon.
Then if you pick up this sweet Angel image you'll have a sentiment to use! :o)

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock, K & Company - Watercolor Bouquet;
Prismacolor Pencils and OMS;
Punches: WRMK - Scallop Corner Chomper;
Sentiment: The Nickel Nook;
Bling and Glitter Glue: Unknown.

I think this image is absolutely adorable.

I coloured this sweetie up with my pencils. I used my Mini 8 punch to create the pretty green layer and added some Frantage. I layered it on the pink background, added the image and the sentiment that comes with the image, and then added a pretty sheer bow. Finally, I filled the corners with the pretty green rhinestones.

Papers: K & Company - Classic K McKenna;
Image: All Dressed Up - My Little Flower Girl,

Ephemera's Vintage Garden - Love Is Chic - #1

Happy Weekend to all of you, my friends!

I know that it's been pretty quiet around here lately.
I'm happy to be back today with a fun new layout to share!

I have a new Printable Journal Kit from Ephemera's Vintage Garden to work with this month.
It is another really gorgeous kit called Love Is Chic
It is absolutely jam-packed with goodness, and suited to so many different occasions!

On June 1st will be my daughter's 1st anniversary.
I made this layout in honour of that occasion.
My daughter and her husband won't see it until I share it on facebook on June 1st.

I also wanted to play along with the Challenge going on over at Our Daily Bread.
They're having a fun F-L-O-W-E-R Word challenge.
This is what I used:
F - Frantage,
L - Layers,
O - Oval rhinestones,
W - Words,
E - Embossing,
R - Ribbon.

Aren't all those bits and pieces pretty?
All the papers...other than the white background...are from the kit!
Below is a closer look at the Frantage, silver embossing, pretty bow, and the detail of the printables.

My Project for ODBD "Wing It" Challenge

Hello again, friends!

If you missed my latest Sushi Doll project from last night,
please scroll down and take a peek when you're finished here.

I had lots of fun with my last participation over at Our Daily Bread Designs Blog!
I was happy with the warm welcome from the DT, and thrilled to win a prize!
I'll have more of these great stamps to share with you soon!

The new challenge is "Wing It".
There are lots of ways to include wings on a project.
I opted to go with a bird and made this cute little mini album measuring 6" X 2".
The front and back covers are chipboard, and the five inside pages are designer paper.
Each page holds nothing but a journal spot.
Each journal spot holds an uplifting Bible verse about wings and/or birds.
I actually only have the one wing on the cover, but the word "wing" is included numerous times! ;o)

I was so blessed putting this little project together.
Looking for the encouraging verses...I was very encouraged!
I think it would make a lovely gift for someone who needs it!

When the pieces were all finished, I punched a hole, added a ring, and added a seam binding bow.
I cut a little banner and stamped it with "Blessings" from the ODBD Daffodil Tag Set.
A little pearl for the eye and it was finished.
It's truly a simple project but it's the perfect addition to this sweet little nest basket!

Rather than loading this post with photos, I took them all together.
This is the one side of the bird. If you can't see the verses, just click on the photo.
The inside back cover holds a label with my info.

Here is the other side of all the birds.
I left one spot empty. If I gift this to someone, I can add a little note to them.

Materials Used:
Papers: First Edition - Boho Chic;
Die: Sizzix - Bird w/ wing;
Punches: Stampin' Up - Scallop Circle, Decorative Label;
Stamp: Our Daily Bread Designs - Daffodil Tag Set;
Ink: Distress Ink - Vintage Photo;
Seam Binding and Pearl: My Stash.

Sushi Dolls - May #1

Hello, my friends!

Thank you so much for all your sweet comments on my last batch of posts!
I know there were quite a few in a row but you are ever faithful in your encouragement!

Today I have a new Sushi Doll project.
I also have a little story to tell you.

This image has actually been coloured up for a week or more.
 This morning somebody on facebook told my brother that he was Superman.
My brother stated he actually looked better in a cape and tights than Superman.
I told him that I didn't need that mental image, and he said I did.
Then I go to my studio to finish some projects and come across this image.
Can you believe that the hair colour is the same as my brother's?
However, it seems he's forgotten his tights! lol
This will be posted on his facebook wall very soon! :o)

Okay, down to business!
I have used this super fun Sushi Doll image called "Zayne".
You can find it, along with all the other Sushi Dolls, in the Shop right HERE.

My card is totally CAS and I hope it makes you smile! :o)

Materials Used:
Papers Used: Tim Holtz - Retro Grunge Paper Stack,
Recollections - Cardstock;
Prismacolor Pencils and OMS;
Ink: Distress Ink - Vintage Photo;
Punch: EK Success - Hexagon Punch;
Sentiment: Freebie from Create With TLC.

There have been four new images released this month!
If you go to the Sushi Doll Shop you can see them at the top of the list.
I will be back soon to show you a new project using one of them!

All Dressed Up - Challenge #14 - It's a Guy Thing / Male Birthday

Hello again, my friends!

It's time for a new challenge at All Dressed Up and our theme is "It's a Guy Thing / Male Birthday."

I have made a card using the "We Make a Good Team" image.
When you purchase this image it comes with several different files so you have some fun variations to play with. Check out all the fabulous images in the All Dressed Up Shop.

I have to tell you a fun story about the fabulous burlap paper on my card. Back on my birthday, I got to spend several hours in a Scrapbook/Quilting store in a neighboring town. I made a lovely new friend there, who happened to snag the last pad of 6 X 6 burlap paper. After she paid for it, do you know what she did? She gifted me with half the pad...and she didn't even know it was my birthday! What a lovely blessing she was! :o)

Here's my card:

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock, DCWV - Burlap Paper;
Image: All Dressed Up - We Make A Good Team,
Prismacolor Pencils and OMS;
Die: Spellbinders Nestabilities - Beaded Squares;
Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black;
Stamp: Stampin' Up - Itty Bitty Banners.
