ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday

Hello, my friends!

It's Friday, which means it's Sketch-y Friday at ScrapMuch?
and I have another layout to share with you! :o)

This is my last post as part of the ScrapMuch? DT.
My term is up and I have given notice.

Laura created another wonderful sketch.
Here it is:

I decided to try something a little bit different with my layout.
I've used only black and white, along with black and white photos.
It was fun to do!
The photos of my layout actually look like they're black and white photos, don't they?
They're not...they're full color!

For the treatment on the base page, I opted to use Frantage.
I think it looks really great!
Then the trick was to choose papers that would offer the right contrast and add texture.

I made the flowers using a combination of paper and cheese cloth.
The white of the cheese cloth was just right, and adds a lovely texture.
This photo also displays the Frantage very nicely.

Here's the other flower and the title:

Materials Used:
Papers: Momenta Cardstock;
Slice Design Card: Basics 3;
Die: Tim Holtz Alterations - Styled Labels,
Dear Lizzy - Flowers;
Frantage: Stampendous - Shabby White;
Brads: Recollections;
Cheese Cloth.

This is a super version of the layout! Love that you've been brave enough to risk black and white -It's much harder than it looks! :)

Beautiful layout Nancy! Every time you post one of these sketches, I copy it, print it out and then plan to join in. So far, every time I have had interruptions that have kept me from doing just that. LOL I just went through some papers on my desk and noticed the printed out sketch for April and thought to myself "I've done it again." I do hope to join in soon!
