Flourishes New Release Blog Hop - Day 3

Hello, my friends!

Welcome back to Day 3 of the Flourishes New Release Blog Hop!
One lucky winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to the Flourishes LC Store.
Keep reading to find out how! :o)
Today we're featuring the new release stamp set called "A Mother's Hug"
...which you will find in the Flourishes Shop.

I thought this image would be perfect for a baby album,
so that's what I've done.
I stamped the focal image on watercolor paper.
Then I used my Distress Markers and a water brush to colour it.
It's such a lovely way to colour!

Here's a closer look at the image:

The coloured image was layered on top of this beautiful die, which is available HERE.
Then I adhered it to the journal cover, which I had covered with blue cardstock.

I added a shimmery bow, and some bits from the die-cut,
to decorate the bottom of the page.
Finally, I added some pretty pearls.

Materials Used:
Journal From My Stash;
Image: Flourishes LC - A Mother's Hug,
Distress Markers and Water Brush;
Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black;
Die: Spellbinders Nestabilities - Labels 47;
Ribbon: Celebrate It;
Pearls: Stampin' Up.

Cards and More Shop DT

Hello, my friends!

I'm back with a new project made with products from the Cards and More Shop .

This time I've tried a totally CAS card!
This would be a really good one to send in the mail...no extra postage required!

I began with a Sizzix Framelits card base.

For the card front I used this fabulous Maja Design paper from the Life in Country Collection.
I love this beautiful scene page!
Such gorgeous poppies, the white picket fence, and the lovely white text in the sky!
It seemed the perfect place for this sweet Tiddly Inks image!
She's on her way to the beach!

I stamped this "Beach Babe" out and coloured her with my markers.
Then I fussy cut her and adhered her to the card.

I opted not to use foam tape, as I wanted her to sink into the scene.
I stamped the "Hello Sunshine" in the sky.

Can you see the sweet little crab waving from the inside of the card?

The inside was stamped with the little seashell/sand dollar border.
The pail and crab image was stamped, coloured, fussy cut, and adhered.

So there you have my CAS card! :o)

Today we're featuring the new release stamp set called "Clover & Bees"
...which you will find in the Flourishes Shop.

I stamped out the focal image, along with three of the sentiments.

After colouring the image, I layered it on some pretty matching papers.
Then I added a shimmery bow and some sparkly sequins!

One layer was punched with a decorative punch.

These sentiments are all separate, and I just stamped them one above the other.

Here you can see where I added some Stickles to the bees wings:

Today we are showcasing a stamp set called "Dad You Rock"
...which you will find in the Flourishes shop HERE.
It would be an ideal set for Father's Day!

This great rock stamp offers many creative options.
I chose to heat emboss it in black.
Then I added the sentiment stamp in black ink.

Here you can see the shine of the embossing:

To finish the card off, I added some layers, some square rhinestones,
and layered some jute twine over a piece of ribbon.

Scrapper's Delights - Steampunk New Release Blog Hop

Hello, friends and visitors!

Welcome to the Scrapper's Delights special
Steampunk New Release Blog Hop!

Janice has just released a fantastic assortment of Steampunk images.
We are celebrating by having a TWO DAY Blog Hop
on Saturday May 28th and Sunday May 29th.

That's not all!
There's also a special Blog Hop sale going on!
Look at this:

Okay, now it's time to share my project!

I made a fun Steampunk tag using a combination of two of the new images:
the Steampunk Hat and the Pocket Watch.
You'll find both of them in the New Release section HERE.

I began by cutting my tag out of chipboard.
The top was formed into a pocket watch using the Tim Holtz die.
I then embossed the chipboard with the Steampunk Texture Fade.
I adhered a strip of steampunk paper across the bottom,
and added the coloured image.

Then it was just a matter of adding some embellishments.
Using brads, I added several gears.
I then added a piece of chain to dangle from the tag top to the gear.
Some paper twine was wrapped around the top,
with some curls left to dangle.
Finally, I added some glossy accents to both the pocket watch and the goggles.

One final look at the texture and dimension:

Materials Used:
Grafix Chipboard
Papers: GCD Studios - Donna Salazar - Antiquities
Images: Scrapper's Delights - Steampunk Hat, Pocket Watch,
Spectrum Noir Markers;
Embossing Folder: Tim Holtz Steampunk Texture Fade;
Die: Tim Holtz Alterations - Pocket Watch;
Tim Holtz Idea-ology - Sprocket Gears;
Chain and Paper Twine: My Stash;
Glossy Accents.

New Release With Little Blue Button Stamps

Hello, my friends!

I'm excited to share a New Release image from Little Blue Buttons Stamp.
This one is called "On the Swing" and you'll find it HERE.

Isn't she pretty?
I decided she deserved a pretty background.

The card base is a very pale blue.
I layered up some pretty die-cuts; one in pink and one in the pale blue.
Then I surrounded her with pretty flowers.
These flowers are a combination of punches, and little forget-me-nots from Where Ideas Bloom.
Finally, I added some stickles to the flowers, and some soft pearls.

Here you can see that the image is popped up on foam tape:
