Tutti Designs - Balloon Corner

Hello, my friends!

It's Monday, and I'm back with a new Tutti Designs share!

Today I'm sharing the fun Balloon Corner Die from the March Release.
You can find it HERE.
This is great die! It turns any card into a celebration!

On my card, I wanted my balloons to be bold and bright.
I thought the plaid was a great backdrop to show them off.
I cut the die out of the plaid paper, and out of red cardstock.
I adhered the plaid paper onto a white cardstock base.
Then I adhered the red balloon corner into place.
There's no need to fill in any of the bits because I want the white to show through.

I added the fun sentiment from the paper collection.
Finally, I added some mini red rhinestones.

Here's a close-up look at the die.

Other Materials Used:
Papers: My Mind's Eye - Hip Hooray,
Recollections - Cardstock;
Sentiment: MME Hip Hooray;
Bling: Crafts - Rhinestones.

Mustard Seed Faith Challenge - Overwhelmed

Sunday Blessings to you, my friends!

It's time for a new challenge over at Mustard Seed Faith Challenge Blog

This week we want you to be inspired by "God as Creator"
or
this fabulous sketch:

or

the song Overwhelmed by Big Daddy Weave.
Over on the blog, Peggysue shares why she chose this song.
Please take the time to listen to this fabulous video:

Isn't that beautiful?
The line that jumped out at me was "I delight myself in You".
I love that!
I happen to have a stamp that says "DELIGHTFUL", so I added that to my card.
Also, ONE of my favorite things of all God's creation is flowers.
So I added some flowers to my card.
Oh, and I used the fun sketch.
I didn't have an oval die, so I substituted it with the pennant.

Materials Used:
Papers: WRMK - Tiffany's Designer Paper Pad, Recollections - Cardstock;
Stamp: Simon Says Stamp - Absolutely Delightful;
Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black;
Die: Sizzix XL Die - Banner, Layered;
Punch: WRMK - 1/4" Corner Chomper;

Cards and More Shop Blog DT - Washi Tape Holder

Hello, my friends!

I'm back with a new project made with products from the Cards and More Shop .

This was a super fun project to put together...and so useful too!
I think we all have a collection of Washi taped, right?
This is a fabulous way to display it and remember to use it.

This Washi tape holder comes in unfinished and unassembled MDF.
The creative possibilities are endless!

I began by using Distress Stain to colour all the edges and the two dowels, and letting it dry.
Since it comes unassembled, it's very easy to decorate with paper.
I simply applied glue to each piece of MDF, placed it onto the paper,
and then cut around the wood with my craft blade.

Once it was all dry, I inked all the edges with the Distress Ink that matched my Distress Stain.
Finally, I glued it all together.

Here's a top view:

You simply lift the two dowels out and slide your Washi tape rolls on.

I hope you like it and try decorating one of your own!
My team-mate Janine decorated one too.
You can find her post right HERE.

These were the products used from the Cards and More Shop :

The Project Bin - Spencer's Set

Happy Wednesday, my friends!

Today I'm back with another project for The Project Bin
This week I'm using the special new release set called Spencer's Set.
You can find it right HERE.

I opted to make a clean and simple card this week.
I think it's quite effective, don't you?
I stamped the puzzle heart and die-cut it.
I adhered it to a white card base using foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment just above the heart.
Finally, I punched the puzzle pieces and adhered them to the card.

Here's a closer look:

The Project Bin - Girly Jukebox Birthday

Happy Wednesday, my friends!

Today I'm back with another project for The Project Bin
This week I'm sharing a second card using the fun Jukebox Birthday Stamp and Die Set.
You can find it right HERE.

If you were here last week, you might remember my masculine card using this set.
I thought it might be interesting to make a girly version this week, even using the same design.

Here it is:

This time I created my own musical background in pink and white.
The Jukebox set was stamped on white cardstock with pink ink.
It was then die-cut, and adhered with foam tape.
Finally, I added a strip of lace and some ribbon across the bottom.

Here's the masculine and the girly side by side:

Other Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock;
Wheel: Stampin' Up - Music Notes;
Ink: Simon Says Stamp - White Pigment, Stampin' Up - Melon Mambo;
Ribbon: Offray;
Unknown: Lace.

Tutti Designs - Easter Blessings with Cross In The Vine

Hello, my friends!

It's Monday, and I'm back with a new Tutti Designs share!
This week I'm using the beautiful Cross In The Vine Die,
which you can find right HERE.

This is my final Easter card of the year,
and with it I send Easter Blessings to all of you! :o)

This was a fun one to put together.
It was a simple process but I think it's very effective with the die.
To create the background I began with a piece of watercolor paper.
I began by masking a circle for behind the cross.
Using an assortment of distress inks, and an ink blending tool,
I began with the lightest color and worked my way out, blending each color into the other.
Finally, I removed the circle and inked it very lightly to blend.

Then I cut the die out of black cardstock, and adhered it in place.
I matted the card front with black cardstock, and adhered it to a white card base.

Finally, I added several sequins.
Here's a closer look:

Other Materials Used:
Paper: Strathmore Watercolor Paper; Recollections - Cardstock;
Distress Inks: Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Shaded Lilac,
Worn Lipstick, Black Soot;
Bling: Unknown Sequins.

Mustard Seed Faith Challenge - Traveling Mercies

Sunday Blessings to you, my friends!

It's time for a new challenge over at Mustard Seed Faith Challenge Blog
We had so many beautiful entries in our Easter Challenge!
Thank you all for sharing your talents with us! :o)

* * * * *
The New Challenge:

Have you heard the term "Traveling Mercies"?
It's a common phrase among us folk of faith! ;o)
Traveling mercies are prayers for safety and protection for those that are traveling.
Peggysue has a great devotional on the subject.
Head on over to the challenge blog and read her share,
then make a project and link it up.
Include something to do with travel: car, boat, truck, balloon,
or like me...a globe.

* * * * *
My share:

I am the mother of two very adventurous daughters.
My goodness but they amaze me with the things the do!
At times they also terrify me! lol
Like when one travels to India...alone!
Or when one travels alone to the States
 and meets up with someone that they've only ever met online...
...someone that I've never met! ;o)
As I began making my card, and thinking about this subject,
I was reminded of the time that they drove six hours from home to go skydiving!
Yes, to willingly jump out of a plane! *shudder*
What's a Mother to do with such daughters?
Well...my natural inclination is to worry about them.
That makes sense, right?
I tend to think about all the things that can go wrong,
and all the possible dangers they face.
Does my worrying make ANY difference to the outcome?
NO...NONE!
It just makes me a nervous wreck! lol
Matthew 6:27 says:
"Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"
So...I choose not to waste my time and energy worrying.
Instead, I do as instructed in 1 Thessalonians 5:17:
"Pray continually."
Then in my prayer, I give my daughters, and their protection, up to the Lord.
He's got them in the palm of His hand, and will take care of them much better than I can.
See...traveling mercies! :o)

About my card:

I'm a huge fan of Vera Lane Studio images!
They make me smile...and some even make me laugh out loud!
(You know how much I like to laugh!)

So in preparation of this card, I headed over to the Vera Lane Facebook Group and asked for image ideas.
Dolores was the first to suggest this digital set called Change the World, and it was perfect for my purposes.
Isn't she adorable?...looks just like my daughters! lol

Using my Cricut Explore Air, I printed then cut the images, and then had fun coloring them.
I prepared the card base, and then added the images with foam tape.
I cut a little geotag out of the papers and added it to the globe over Canada.
Finally, I cut a few arrows out of the background paper and added them.

The sentiment in this set is perfect!
From now on, when one of my daughters heads out on another hair-raising adventure,
I will put this card where I can see it and be reminded.
God...YOU'VE GOT THIS! :o)
