Cards and More Shop Blog - Snow Kisses Mitten Card

Hello, my friends!

I'm back with a new project made with products from the Cards and More Shop .

I had fun making a Winter themed card!

I began with a Dutch Doobadoo Mitten Card Template.
I decorated it with some snowy bits...
and this beautiful Paper Nest Doll called
"Emma with Snowflake Banner."

The image is added with foam tape.
Then I added lots of Stickles to everything!

Here's a closer look at the sparkle:

Here's one last look at the final card:

·       Votive Candles - 3

Instructions:
1.    I created the card base from cut file using C99 004 paper. Alternately, google any hand cut template. There are many available.
2.    Die cut 2 labels from white cardstock: one for inside of card, and one for outside of card.
3.    From Stickers ST99 001, take 3 Angels sticker. Adhere to center of one die-cut label. Adhere this label to center of outside of card.
4.    From Stickers ST99 002, take Peace on Earth Sticker. Adhere to piece of white cardstock and trim out. Adhere in place on front of card, as shown in photo.
5.    Adhere second die-cut label to inside of card. This offers a place to stamp a sentiment or to write a personal message.
6.    Place three votives inside box. Enjoy!

JOY TO THE WORLD COLLECTION
Card Caddy Gift Set

For this project you will need:
·       FabScraps Joy to the World Paper Range C99 008
·       FabScraps Joy to the World Carder’s Pack MC99 001A
·       Cricut Expore Air Machine
·       Stationary Box Cut File for Base: http://shop.loriwhitlock.com/stationery-box-2/
·       Shimmer Cardstock for Box Base – 4 - 12” X 12”
·       Kraft Cardstock – 4 – 8 ½” X 11” for card bases
·       Envelopes – 8 – A2 size
·       Ink (Distress Ink – Walnut Stain)
·       Red Wired Ribbon
Instructions:
1.    Create the stationary box using the cut file and the shimmer cardstock. Any cardstock will work but the shimmer will make it more special. Decorate the box lid with the papers from the Carder’s Pack MC99 001A. Refer to photo for papers used. Ink edges of papers and box.
2.    Cut kraft cardstock into 8 - A2 size card bases (4 ¼” X 5 ½”).  I made some side fold and some tent fold.
3.    Using papers from Carder’s Pack MC001A, cut 8 card fronts (4” X 5 ¼”). I cut one from each paper but you can choose your favorites. Ink the edges, and adhere to card bases.
4.    Fussy cut the tags from the C99 008 paper, and punch out the holes.
5.    Tie a big loopy bow from the red wired ribbon. Adhere it in place on the lid of the box, wrapping the tails down the sides.
6.    Assemble as shown in the photo. The 8 envelopes fit in the back pocket, the cards fit in the middle one, and the tags stand up in the front. If you are gifting this to a crafty friend, you could also include: die-cuts, bling, ribbons, etc.  Enjoy!

Swedish House Crafts - Tilda Says "Be Kind"

Hello, my friends!
Today I'm sharing my first Tilda project for Swedish House Crafts
Tilda is joining us today with a little reminder to "be kind"!
Isn't that a wonderful sentiment stamp?
It could be used on so many different projects!

I popped both the sentiment and the image up on foam tape to add some extra dimension.

Here's a closer look at the sweet Tilda With Balloon.
I coloured her with my Spectrum Noir Markers.

Here is a closer look at the fabulous Gummiapan sentiment stamp.
 Isn't it wonderful?

These Maja Papers are so gorgeous!
They coordinate and layer together beautifully!
I simply added a ribbon strip with a matching little bow, and a few matching pearls.

Here's a final look at the finished card!
I hope you take Tilda's sweet message to heart!
With all the hustle and bustle going on this time of year, it seems that such a reminder is often needed.
Maybe it would be good to slow down, take a deep breath, and give some thought to those around us.
A little kindness goes a long way in making the world a better place! :o)

I used the stamps that worked well with the papers on the pages.

Apparently I forgot to take a photo of the back page.
It's a pretty blue patterned paper.

Playing with Some Paper Smooches

Hello, my friends!

I'm popping in this evening with a fun little card share!
Lately I have become a huge fan of all things Paper Smooches!
When I had some free time today, I pulled out this adorable stamp set.
It's called Chubby Chums, and it's the sweetest set ever!
I won it a while ago from my sweet friend Marilyn's blog.
You can find it in the shop right HERE.

Isn't this puppy the cutest fella?
For all my cat loving friends:
Puppies 1 - Kitties 0
Just so you know! lol

However, I should probably tell you that there's a super cute cat included in this stamp set!
Yes...I said the cat was cute! ;o)

Okay, back to my card.
I cut an A2 tent fold card from black cardstock.
I stamped the puppy and the sentiment on a scrap of white.

I matted it on red cardstock, and added a scrap of black/white checked.
I wrapped a piece of baker's twine around it,
and adhered it to the card base with foam tape for dimension.

Here's a closer look at the little panel:
Oh, I also rounded the top corners, and colored the puppies tongue.

Here's one final look at the finished card:

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock;
Stamp: Paper Smooches - Chubby Chums;
Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black;
Baker's Twine: WRMK - Red;
Punch: Corner Chomper - 1/4".

Thanks for popping in to take a look at my card!
You'll be seeing more Paper Smooches from me soon,
since I'm working on one for their November Challenge!

They've got so many wonderful products to play with.

Coffee Goodness with Swedish House Crafts

Hello, my friends!

I have a new project share for Swedish House Crafts!

I did some fun layering with these gorgeous Fall papers from Maja Designs,
with kraft cardstock in between!
I inked all the edges before adhering them together.

I stamped the coffee sentiment back ground on the final layer, and matted it with kraft.
Unfortunately, these background stamps are all sold out.

This final layer was mounted on foam tape for some extra dimension.
Here's a closer look:

I die-cut the coffee cup and the two coffee beans from kraft cardstock.
Since the background papers were so busy, I opted to keep all the pieces together.
I did pop out the little heart but I filled it with some Stickles.

Here's a closer look at the coffee beans which I placed on the other side:

Here's one final look at the finished card:

Thanks so much for stopping in today! I'll be back with another project soon!
