Just Sharing a Fun Project, and a Review of Products!

Hello, my friends!

Today I have a fun new project to share,
using some fun new products!

I was recently contacted by a lovely woman from In Love Arts.
She invited me to make some projects using some products from their shop.
The shop is based in China and was all new to me.
Before I agreed to anything, I made sure that these were their own original designs.
They are...and they really have some fun and unique products!

I'm sharing my first project today,
and I will be back with another project next week.

Oh, and did I mention that they gave me a discount code for all my friends?
Yes! You can get 15% off any order you place, using discount code: G-19403.
I'll have some more fun information about the shop later in my post.

For my first project, I made a fun tag!

I used:

Here's my tag:

First of all, I love the shape of this die,
and it's perfect for a tag!
The set comes with 7 nesting dies of the same shape,
and I think it's a very pretty shape!

I had lots of fun with the stamp set, as I paper pieced it all.
After it was all pieced together, I did some light colouring with pencils.
Then I added it to the tag base, doing some shaping,
and adding various bits of foam tape here and there.
I then stamped the "love coffee" on the tag.

I used the Mini Flower Blossoms Die to make the pretty white flowers.
After adhering them to the tags, I added some bling to the centers.
I also added one to the top of the tag, where I added the eyelet and ribbon.

To the back of the tag, I added two more elements from the stamp set.

These were both stamped on paper, and fussy cut out,
before I added some pencil shading.
Don't you just love the purse?
Well...the coffee too, of course! ;o)

This was a really fun tag to put together!

Again, here are the products I used from the In Love Arts Shop:

Other Materials Used:
Momenta Cardstock;
Prima Finnabair Sunrise and Sunset Collection;
Momenta Tuxedo Black Ink;
Crafts Sparkle Rhinestones;
Offray Ribbon.

Now, a few thoughts about these products.
The stamps are all silicone, rather than photopolymer.
They feel stiff but they stamped beautifully,
and were very easy to clean.
I have noticed that several of the English stamp sets have spelling errors.
The stamp set that I used had a stamp that said "togather".
I think it was meant to be "together"
but I will cut it apart and use it as "to gather".
I know some of the errors have been corrected,
so just keep that in mind when you're shoppinng.

The dies are fantastic and can cut several layers at a time.
The die that I used for my tag base is such a lovely shape,
and the smaller dies in the set are perfect for sentiments.
I'll be using it often!

Some final words on In Love Arts.
The prices in the shop are fabulous...no question!
They have loads of items on sale for shocking prices.
They offer free worldwide shipping on any $25.00 order.
Finally, my items arrived to me in Canada within three weeks.
That is much faster than any parcel from the US.
All in all I am really happy with my experience with In Love Arts!
I'll definitely be choosing more fun items from their shop!

Head on over and check it all out for yourself!
Don't forget to use my discount code: G-19403

Simply Crafty SVGs - Christmas in July

Hello, my friends!

Welcome to a new project share for Simply Crafty SVGs!

This month I'm sharing two fun vintage style Christmas cards
for Christmas in July.

I've used:

A2 Frame Card Set 2

Here is the first one:

This file comes with so many fun layers and frames.
I just made several different cuts from the same paper collection.
Then I cut more, along with the card bases, from kraft cardstock.

Then it was just a matter of mixing and matching the layers to make my card.

Here's my second card:

I kept both of them clean and completely flat...for mailing purposes.
There are lots of ways, and places, that these could be embellished;
with ribbons, bling, sequins, and more!

Then I did some fun stamping
on the panel that fits behind the open frame.

File from Simply Crafty SVGs:

Other Materials Used:
Recollections - Kraft Cardstock;
DCWV Christmas Made Collection;
Tim Holtz Stamps - Mini Holidays,
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink;
CTMH Ponderosa Pine Ink.

I'll be back next month to share a brand new project! :o)

Maker's Movement - Great Outdoors

Hello, my friends!

I'm back with a fun new project for Maker's Movement!

I also wanted to remind you about the sale going on until July 31st.
The ENTIRE site is BUY 2 GET 1 FREE!
So you still have time to get in on the deals!

For my project I used my fabulous Crossover II Machine.
I've also used the wonderful Great Outdoors Die Set from the latest release,
and some stamps from the Essential Sentiments Stamp Set.
 This die set was just perfect to use for a spread in my Traveler's Notebook.
Guess what? I even included a photo!

Here's my spread:

This was so much fun to put together!
I actually grew up in a city where I could see the mountains almost every day.
Now I live in the prairies,
so a trip to the mountains is always a thrill...for many reasons.
I have MANY much better photos of mountains
but they're all in landscape format.
I needed a portrait photo for this page.

I don't know about you...but when I'm in the mountains
I am always overwhelmed with the majesty of God's creation!
That is what the "Thank you...YOU'RE AWESOME" is all about! :o)

I spent some extra time lining everything up from one page to the next,
so I had to zoom in a bit to show you.

I created a pocket when I put the right-side page together.
Then I cut a smaller piece of the pink paper to fit in the pocket,
and used the mountain die across the top.

It pulls out, and I've got all my journaling on the back of it.

Then the tag just tucks right back in, creating more pretty mountains!
I must say that I'm really enjoying this format for creating!

Dies R Us - Octopi Fun!

Happy Wednesday, my friends!

It's time for some new inspiration for Dies R Us!

 I had intended to create a Christmas in July project for you today.
However, I was totally distracted by this fun stamp and die from Lawn Fawn.

Here's the card I made:

Unfortunately, the stamp set has sold out since I last looked,
but I have the dies linked below.

I stamped and die-cut the octopus, and then added the little die-cut bowtie.
I chose some blue water looking paper for my background,
and cut it to fit my A2 card base.
I used the oval dies to cut out a frame piece.
I then adhered the octopus to the oval,
and adhered it in place with foam tape.
I then stamped the sentiment on a smaller oval,
and used more foam tape to adhere it in place.
Finally, I stamped some of the water bubbles around the card,
and added Glossy Accents to them.

Isn't he cute?
I think you could easily make this card without the stamps,
and using only the dies.
What do you think?

I'll be back soon with another fun project!

Vilda Stamps - Bookmark

Hello, my friends!

It's my time to share some projects for Vilda Stamps!

On the 12th and 21st of each month, I will be sharing two projects/blog posts,
that I hope will inspire you to get some Vilda Stamps of your own.
They have such a fabulous variety of stamps to create with!
Due to the time difference between Canada and Sweden,
I will share my first project in the evening,
and my second project the next morning.

Today I have made a fun bookmark,
using a sentiment from:

V693 Stamp Set - English Texts 2010

Here it is:

I found this fun book paper in my stash, which is ideal for a bookmark!
I layered a strip of it onto a white cardstock base.
I stamped my sentiment with embossing ink,
and embossed it with a fun glittered embossing powder.
All the glitter makes it a little bit harder to read.
It says: "Reading is to the mind what excercise is to the body."

Finally, I used my tag punch at the top of the bookmark, and added my ribbon.

Vilda Stamps Used:

Other Materials Used:
White Cardstock;
Project Life Papers - Desktop Edition;
Stampendous Emboss Ink;
Turquoise Glittered Embossing Powder;

Vilda Stamps - Bee Happy...Second Version

Hello, my friends!

I'm back with my second project for Vilda Stamps!

Again, I am sharing a project using a stamp that I have used previously.
My first card was very bee hivey.
This time I think it's just a happy card!
 I love the combination of black with this green.

Here's my card:

I matted the image and sentiment,
and then mounted them to the card base using foam tape.

Last time I watercoloured the image.
This time I used Spectrum Noir markers.

I really like the font of the "Bee Happy"!
I found this pretty ceramic bee button in my stash.
I tied a little baker's twine bow through it,
and adhered it to my card.

Here are both cards together.

Vilda Stamps - Masculine Card

Hello, my friends!

It's my time to share some projects for Vilda Stamps!

Last month when I shared my bright and cheerful Thank You card,
I mentioned that the stamps would make a great masculine/grungy style card.
That's what I have for you today!

I have used the same design and the same background stamp
but I am using a different sentiment!

Here it is:

I didn't worry about the stamping being solid for this card.
I stamped the squares and the sentiment on the kraft cardstock.

I layered it on black cardstock, and then wrapped it with some jute.
My card base is made of kraft, and I layered it with a fun paper from Tim Holtz.

Originally, I was planning to add metal gears to the squares.
I have cleaned and organized my room so well that I can't find my gears! lol
Instead I punched them from the kraft cardstock.

I really like the sentiment very much!
Below is the picture of both cards side by side.

Other Materials Used:
Recollections Cardstock;
Tim Holtz Crowded Attic Paper;

where I'm using another stamp a second time.

My Scrap Chick - Another Fun Box!

Hello, my friends!

Today I have a fun new project share for My Scrap Chick!

Today I'm featuring the:

 Hinged Box with 3D Flower and Belly Band

This is another really fun box to put together.
Yes, I definitely love to make boxes!
The file includes a great flower cut that I will be using over and over.

Here's my box:

Isn't that pretty?
I used my favorite floral paperpad...I'm down to the scraps after this.

The sample in the shop shows the pretty flower shaped and layered.
I decided to use my favorite flower making technique to change the flower up.
If you missed it, you can find my flower post HERE.
It worked perfectly for this cut file!

The box measures 3 1/2" square,
and opens like a pizz box.

The file includes a belly band,
which is what my flower is adhered to.
It's great to use pretty double sided paper for this one.

I added a large white pearl to the center of my flower.
Everything else is just the fun cut file!

Hinged Box with 3D Flower and Belly Band

Other Materials Used:
