52 Week Scrapbook Challenge - Journaling Strips

I have always loved pansies! My living room used to be decorated in pansies until we had to buy new furniture. Then we had to redecorate the entire room, of course. I don't really think my husband minded getting rid of  the flowers but he might have minded some of the bills for the new furniture! lol When I saw this photo in my picture pile I just had to play with it today! Spring IS right around the corner...YES, it is! There was no real journaling to go with the photo though, so I just used the definition of pansy. I love that the Latin word for pansy means "to ponder". The word "ponder" is very high up on my "Favorite Word" list. I'll have to tell you about that list in a future post! :o)

  1. Very nice page Nancy! I love the color scheme with that photo. I love pansies too - did you know that you can eat them, that's right, they're edible. Johnny Jump Ups are my favorite.

  2. Yum pansies! They're such cool little flowers. Journaling about them would have been hard for me too. Clever idea to use the definition. You're so smart. :-) Great layout Nancy!

  3. Thank you for that bit of Spring :-) Well, I didn't know they could be eaten, nor that their name would mean "ponder". Learned something new today, love that. The "journaling strips", I've seen this done before, have to say that I really like the way they look on your page. Great Job my Friend.

  5. Oh I adore pansies, love their little colourful faces. We have some very small ones that grow almost wild amongst the flower beds and they look so cute peeking out from amongst the other flowers and foliage.

Love this page Nancy with its colourful bowl of pansies and the journalling strips of definitions is a very good take.

    Love and hugs
