I had so much fun putting this page together! I LOVE the ocean! Yes...I do live on the Saskatchewan prairie and I'm nowhere near an ocean! lol However, I have been fortunate enough to have visited several oceans, and I LOVE the ocean! Standing and gazing out over the ocean...well, it's one of those moments when you experience a glimpse of God's majesty...when you feel the awesomeness of His power. We know, though, that the ocean can become very scary and dangerous in all it's power and strength, with blowing winds and crashing waves! That's kind of the way life is too. I'm going to stay firm and secure by hanging on to the Lord as my ANCHOR! That way I'll be able to handle the big storms of life! :o)

OH My!!!! Nancy, this is a totally awesome page!!! The sea shells look so REAL! Oh My Goodness.....this is just AWESOME.
Love you - Leslie
Actually Leslie...the seashells are real! :o)
I love the sea too Nancy and hope one day to be living near to it. Love this page as it brings the memory of the sea back. I have a collection of shells too and use them occasionally in card making and for a collage.
Lovely page Nancy.
Love and hugs
Lynn xx
What did you use to attach the sea shells, since their surfaces are not flat? I so love the look of this page, you've given it so much dimension and detail. I still think I will sneak in your house sometime and have a snoop :-)
Love you - Leslie
Your page is really lovely !The waves and anchor are fabulous and so creative ! Thanks for becoming my first follower. I have become one of yours too and think it is really exciting to look forward to seeing everyones creations. Can't believe I only live 10 mins from the sea and didn't have any shells to use !
This page is truly awesome. I love he Sea also, and the sunset. make me think of God smiling face.. Thanks for the comment on my blog....I have been doing these scripture challenges since they started and i find so much Joy in scrapbooking Jesus word... have a Blessed day!
Oh, I love the ocean, too, Nancy. There's nowhere else that reminds me, too, of God's power, and the fact that His creation is not the result of an accident or coincidence (is that spelled right?!). Love your page and your 'water' effect! I've been a bad girl in not visiting for a bit! Last night I was struggling with my blog--accidentally deleting pictures and having to reload, which takes absolutely FOREVER. As I was sitting there...waiting...in the wee hours...it struck me..."Oh, no, I haven't visited Nancy for FOREVER!! Yikes!!" Forgive me...your blog always lifts me up! (And last night I was needing a serious 'lifting'! So I thought of you!!) I really loved your "represent" post...BEAUTIFUL!! Have a great day, friend!! Thanks for visiting me!!
Ooooo! I like this page alot! Nicely done Nancy!
Nancy, you page is just absolutely beautiful! When I lived in CA I could see the ocean from my livingroom window. I so miss the ocean!
Hugs, Sharon
Love your page and how you added the letter 'a'. I didn't think of doing that. LOL! Wonderful! And glad you are so excited that the Lord has me continuing this again this year. I am too! Blessings,
so pretty! your handwriting is gorgeous!
Beautiful Love the anchor.
What a beautiful and meaningful layout! Thank you so much for your comments on my blog today!
Beautiful layout Nancy I just love it.
I had visions of masking the letters on my page but totally overlooked it when I did my piece. I love what you've done here . . . living less than an hour's drive from the beach for 35 years, I can count on one hand the number of times I've been on the ocean. As a child, we visited my mother's family who live in Virginia. My grandfather was a fisherman and we would go on fishing trips into the Chesapeake Bay. We have been to the beach in Trinidad, come to think of it. And I've been on writers' retreats at Fenwick Island. But knowing the ocean is there seems to be enough. How quick we are to take God's majesty for granted. I think when the weather warms up, my husband and I need to do some beach walking. Thanks for the perspective. This page is more than awesome.
Hi Nancy~
I really love your first page of the ABC Scripture Scrapbook Project. I, too, love the ocean! One of my favorite things is to go to the very back of a cruise ship, when no one is around, and just look. I feel so in touch with His Majestic Nature in those moments...or even just looking at the waves coming in and out at our local beach. I love how you tied it all in to your "Anchor" page. I love your anchor...the top of it reminds me of a hump back whale's tail! I love the driftwood and shells. They are great! How did you adhere them, if you don't mind? I really like how the wording is the focal point of the page. That's what it's about, right?
I am doing this study this year. I just posted my page...my first scrapbook page in years...today (Friday.) I hope you will stop by and take a look. Today, we also had our very first segment of "Precious Women of God--This Includes You!" It is a Bible study of women of the Bible. I hope you will stop by.
I think of you often, and pray you are well. Have a blessed weekend!
