November Project for Bea Grob Mixed Media and More

  Hello, my friends!

Today I am back with my November DT project for

Bea Grob Mixed Media and More!

Again, I've got a process video to share with you.
I'm really having fun with this new venture of video making!

This month I show you how I put together a Traveler's Notebook Page.
Here's my page:

I also share some additions that I have made to my FACES journal.
This was a page embellishment, along with a quote strip:

Here is another paper clip embellishment. 

Then I added another one of Bea's beautiful washi stickers,
and another quote strip.

Finally, there was one more paperclip embellishment.
For this one I used another washi sticker, and a word from the digital collection.

I've been having so much fun working in my FACES junk journal!
Bea's products are really great to work with!

I've made another TN spread using the sheet of images from the sponsor.

The page is FULL of fun and festive designs!

As usual, I printed and fussy cut the images.

Then I just put it all together on my background page!

To finish the page off, I added Stardust Stickles to all the snowflakes and lights on the tree!

Doesn't that depict some of the fabulousness of Fall?

I printed several of the images, and fussy cut them out.
After stenciling leaves on the background,
I arranged the images and adhered them in place.
To finish things off, I added several glitter sequins!

This month I have created a spread in my TN.

The collection we received from the sponsor included so many lovely images. 
I added a paper from my stash for the background,
fussy cut all the lovely orange bits, and adhered them in place.

I found a fun poem about oranges!

Vintage Valentine TN Page

   Hello, my friends!

It's time for another fun project for Kate Crafts!

I have been busy working on a fun Winter Themed Journal
but I took a break from that to create this fun vintage spread.

Kate has so many fun and fabulous digital collections in her etsy shop!
To make my page, I combined bits from quite a few different collections.
I'll break it all down and give you the links as I go. :o)

Here's my page:

I really enjoy making these spreads in my TN!
It's such a fun size to work with.

I began by choosing my background paper from Floral Papers.
I then found a Vintage Valentine Washi that worked across the top of the page.
I found a lace from my stash, and added that to the bottom.
All the bits and pieces I used were distressed with both a tool and ink.

The "Happy Valentine's Day" and "so blessed" came from Valentine Quotes.

I added a postcard from Vintage Postcards.

The lovely card on top of it, with the pretty rosebud, came from Frozen Flowers Ephemera.

On this side, I added this lovely photo from Old Photos Christmas.

I thought it was the perfect Valentine photo,

as they are staring adoringly into each other's eyes! 
I simply cut the Christmas tree out of the background! ;o)
The great quote came from Valentine Quotes 2.

I then added another strip from Vintage Valentine Washi underneath them.
That way they are grounded, and not appearing to float on the page.

This "I love your smile" is another one from Valentine Quotes,

and works perfectly with the Maya Angelou quote.

Finally, I added a variety of pretty pearls around the page.

It is so much fun to play with digital bits and pieces,

and combine them into a themed project! 

The creative possibilities are endless!

August Insta Hop with Dotty About Flair

  Hello, my friends!

It's the 25th of the month,
so it's time for the monthly Instagram DT Hop for Dotty About Flair!

This month we are all posting "Behind the Lens" projects!
This means that we are to include a photo of ourselves,
and a list of five favorite things.

I decided to have a little fun with this one.
Many of you have seen my real photo,
and most of you have probably seen my facebook photo. 
I enjoy using this photo for many different reasons.
For this prompt, I decided to use my facebook photo,
and list my five favorite things as that character.
I even changed my hand-writing! lol

Here is my TN page this month:

The photo is black and white,

so I kept everything monochromatic except for the flair.

The flair I used is called Terrazzo, and you can find it HERE.

These flair worked well with the "theme" of my page;
they look old and rather rock like! ;o)

As for the list of five favorite things...
some are "hers" and some are mine!

Many of you know that we recently moved,

and this is our first Spring/Summer in our new home.
It's been such a joy to see the flowers that have bloomed.
These ones were so beautiful!
If you look closely at the top photo, you can see that I even caught a bee in action!
