It's the same process as the other cards.
The collection includes 10 journal pages.
I shrunk four of them down to card size, and added a fun quote.

Steampunk Envelope Album for Kate Crafts

  Hello, my friends!

It's time for another fun project for Kate Crafts!

As with my previous project, I'm focusing on some great masculine files,
this time with a steampunk theme.

This project was so much fun!
Each page is an envelope that has been stuffed and embellished.
Then I layered all the envelopes and bound them into this fun album.

Here are a couple of photos:

I love the way everything layers up and works together!
I used bulb pins to add several charms that match the kit.

Here is the video of the complete flip-through:

Month of Masculine for Kate Crafts

    Hello, my friends!

It's time for another fun project for Kate Crafts!

With it being a new month,
I thought I would concentrate on sharing some masculine projects.
I always enjoy making them,
and Kate has some great products to use for this purpose.

First up are some masculine tags:

Very masculine, right?
Also very vintage!
I'll link all the products below.

I began with my usual kraft tag base, measuring 4 1/4" wide.
I then added a layer of paper for the background.
Then I just had fun layering all kinds of printed bits and pieces.
All the edges were distressed with both a tool and ink.

The second tag was created the same way.
I used the same background paper and more bits and pieces.
The masculine photos are the obvious focal point.

Each tag was finished off with a jute knot at the top.
It just adds more masculine texture.
Finally, I went in with some Tim Holtz stamps to fill in some empty spots.

Black and White for Kate Crafts

   Hello, my friends!

It's time for another fun project for Kate Crafts!

What do you do when you run out of all your coloured ink?
You use some of Kate's fabulous new Black & White Collections to make a project!

Fortunately, even when I'm out of all the colours,
I can still print with my black ink alone.
My previous printer would not work if even one ink was out.
Something to consider when purchasing a printer!

Here's what I made:

I have created two cards, using the same steps.
I printed out the papers from the Valentine BW Digi Papers Collection.
I trimmed them down, and matted them with black cardstock card bases.
Both images, as well as the "Congratulations" sentiment, are from the Cute Wedding Images.
The other sentiment came from the Valentine Quotes 2 Collection.
These were all matted with black cardstock, and then adhered in place with foam tape.

Aren't those fun?
You can never go wrong with black and white!
I think the images are super cute.
The little blush spots on their cheeks are actually pink in the file
but they show up as grey when printing only black.

Here's a closer look at the first:

This would make a great Wedding or Anniversary card.
Although the card is lovely just as it is,
there are multiple creative possibilities to enhance it.

In the photo below, I simply added Diamond Stickles to:
his lapels, her barrette, lips and flowers.

Here's a closer look at the second card:

So cute, right?
I thought this would make a wonderful Valentine Card!

In the photo below, I added just a touch of pink with my pencil crayons:

These cards were both so fun to make!
Black and white projects can be fabulous!
They can also be changed in so many fun ways!
Give it a try! :o)

Vintage Valentine TN Page

   Hello, my friends!

It's time for another fun project for Kate Crafts!

I have been busy working on a fun Winter Themed Journal
but I took a break from that to create this fun vintage spread.

Kate has so many fun and fabulous digital collections in her etsy shop!
To make my page, I combined bits from quite a few different collections.
I'll break it all down and give you the links as I go. :o)

Here's my page:

I really enjoy making these spreads in my TN!
It's such a fun size to work with.
I began by choosing my background paper from Floral Papers.
I then found a Vintage Valentine Washi that worked across the top of the page.
I found a lace from my stash, and added that to the bottom.
All the bits and pieces I used were distressed with both a tool and ink.

The "Happy Valentine's Day" and "so blessed" came from Valentine Quotes.

I added a postcard from Vintage Postcards.
The lovely card on top of it, with the pretty rosebud, came from Frozen Flowers Ephemera.

On this side, I added this lovely photo from Old Photos Christmas.
I thought it was the perfect Valentine photo,
as they are staring adoringly into each other's eyes!
I simply cut the Christmas tree out of the background! ;o)
The great quote came from Valentine Quotes 2.
I then added another strip from Vintage Valentine Washi underneath them.
That way they are grounded, and not appearing to float on the page.

This "I love your smile" is another one from Valentine Quotes,
and works perfectly with the Maya Angelou quote.

Finally, I added a variety of pretty pearls around the page.

It is so much fun to play with digital bits and pieces,
and combine them into a themed project!
The creative possibilities are endless!

The pretty crinkle bow is added with a bulb pin.
Lots of room to add photos and journaling in this one.

Cute Christmas Mini Album for Kate Crafts

 Hello, my friends!

It's time for another fun project for Kate Crafts!

I've made another small mini featuring:

 Cute Christmas Collection.

This is another super cute collection with adorable images!
It's so much fun!
Again, I have printed it two papers on one sheet.

Here's my mini album:

It measures almost 4" x 5" and it's full of fun little tucks and bits!

It has a red ribbon wrap closure.

There's a pocket on the inside front cover that holds some journaling cards.
Isn't that owl the cutest?

Sentiments and tickets form tuck spots.

A tuck strip on the left houses some ephemera bits.
Another strip forms a belly band on the right.
It houses an envelope full of more bits.

More tuck spots here, with another envelope tucked in on the right.

More tuck spots, bits, and journal card.

The cutest little bunny on these pages!

Another strip forms a belly band on the left.
This one holds another cute envelope.

On the left, a strip holds several bits.
Another pocket inside the back cover holds a couple of journaling cards.

Here's a look at some of the fun bits and pieces and envelopes.

This was another fun little album to make!
I think it would make a great stocking stuffer in this size.
It would also make a great December Daily if you print in full size.

Cuties Mini Mini for Kate Crafts

 Hello, my friends!

I'm excited to be sharing my first project
as a Creative Team member for Kate Crafts!

Kate has an Etsy shop where she sells the most beautiful junk journaling kits.
There are also lots of ephemera and documents in the shop.
There are so MANY fun ways to use these kits!

*Kate is also VERY generous with her freebie files!
Join her facebook group to get access to all of them!
(link below)

I've been busy working on several fun projects,
and today I'll share the first.

I have made a mini mini, featuring:

Cuties Journal Pages

and Cuties Ephemera.

It's just the sweetest little collection.
To make it a mini mini,
I simply printed two pages on each paper,
so it measures 3 1/2" x 5".

Here it is:

Isn't that ballerina elephant adorable?
I had to have her on my front cover!

I put the papers together alternating a top-loading pocket,
and a side-loading pocket.
My photos will display the pull-outs for each page.

I just used some of the coordinating elements to decorate for each page.

Here I clipped in the pretty envelope that holds the journaling card.

I added punched tabs to each of the side pull-outs.
The top-loading pockets house tags that have been decorated with ribbon.

So many sweet images and tucks!

Here's the last one!

This was such a fun project to put together!
Lots of room for journaling and photos, even though it's mini! ;o)
