52 Week Scrapbook Challenge - Stamped Borders

I used three different Stampin' Up stamps to create my border; a vine, a flower and a vase stamp turned sideways. I didn't have a picture in mind at first but decided I would use this one with the bird on the birdhouse. My husband always says the same thing when he sees this picture..."too bad the greenhouse looks so ugly!" So when I showed him I was using this picture, guess what he said? lol So I thought I would try to hide some of it for him. I inked some vines from a new Sizzix die and adhered them around the photo. So now that I have made you all look closely at the greenhouse...have I disguised it well enough? :o)

Birds are most welcome in my yard and I'm always happy to see a little chickadee!

I was going to say 'what greenhouse?' LOL Yes Nancy you have disguised it enough, in fact if you hadn't said anything I wouldn't have been drawn to look closer :)
That vase looks good on its side and the flowers and vines tie in well together with the greenhouse - erm - birdhouse :0
Another gorgeous layout.

This is beautiful Nancy. I love your stamped border and the border you put around your birdie pic with the vines looks so great! Wonderful layout!

Gorgeous layout, once again! The accompanying poem as a journal spot is very apt.

Did you use clear mounted stamps to do the border? It is so even and gorgeous. Love your colors. The die cut, as I was looking at the picture, looks like the branches of the tree in the photo!! Hope your husband feels better about the picture :-) Like everyone else has said "What greenhouse?"
Love you - Leslie

Thanks everyone!
Leslie...I used the wood block stamps on this one! My husband really liked the layout when he saw what I had done. Then I told him what I wrote in my post, and what the first two comments said! haha He just shook his head and laughed! :o)

You're wanting to make cards like mine and I'm wanting to make layouts like yours...what's wrong with this picture!? How about the two of us just keep on inspiring each other? Love the layering of stamps on this layout! Hope you have a great weekend!!

love how you stamped your boarder and used the vase on its side. Great work thinking outside the box!

And as for the glass house.... You covered it very very well. With out you mentioning it I too would not have seen it. ;)
