ABC Scripture Challenge - Journey

Patter shared some really wonderful thoughts regarding the "Journey with Jesus" that we take as Christians. Please take a look at her post HERE.
You know, sometimes people think that if you decide to follow Jesus it means that life will always be easy, that it's some kind of "guarantee" that you'll never face hardships or hurdles along your journey. That just isn't the case. We all have bumps and detours along our life's path. What we do have is God's promise to guide us in the right direction, give us strength to stay on the right path, and His help when the road is rough. In Isaiah 41:10 it says..."So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed , for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Then there are those occasions when we veer "off the beaten path" and choose our own route instead, thinking our plan is so much better than the Lord's plan. That always leads to disaster, doesn't it? As soon as we are ready, our heavenly GPS lovingly guides us back in the right direction. That road always leads to peace and to JOY! How great is that? :o)

I just love your way with words Nancy "our heavenly GPS lovingly guides us back in the right direction" - never saw religion in that light before :) Does He know He is a GPS system??
As always a lovely layout, you have such a creative streak and certainly think outside the box

Last week one of our church members gave a devotional on Romans 8:28. Not only is He a fantastic GPS system, but He has also promised us that "all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose". No, being a Christian doesn't mean a bed of roses 24/7, but if we'll let Him lead and guide it will all work out in the end. Awesome thought and layout my sweet friend!

Thanks for your sweet words Nancy! I love your Journey page. And I am SO living what you wrote about on this post. My spiritual GPS keeps taking me right back to this same place. You would think I would get the idea and put down some roots! Thanks for the encouragement! Always, Hope
