ABC Scripture Challenge - Trouble

Now you're probably wondering why I made such a happy and cheerful page when the word was "trouble", right? Well, first you have to read the Scripture verse I chose. James 5: 13 says: "Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise." Isn't that lovely? It deserves a bright and sunny page! I even wheeled music notes across my background paper to denote the "songs of praise", and of course I had to include a happy bird!
We're all going to face troubles in life...there's just no way around it. However, when you put your trust in Jesus, you have help to get you through the troubled times. In John 16:33 Jesus says: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." So if you have troubles in your life today - PRAY! Your troubles aren't too big for the Lord...He's overcome the world! Then feel the peace that only He can give you. After that you can move on to being HAPPY and singing songs of PRAISE! :o)

Amen! Love your post and your beautiful journaling page! If our Lord told us to take heart, and we're also told to rejoice always, then who are we to argue? (Oh yeah: sinners. . .how could I forget! But. . saved by the Lord's amazing grace in Jesus Christ!) Thank you for your post. . .saw your comment on Nina's blog and just had to come over! Blessings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Oh yeah! That "T" word just loves to come around and smack us when we're not looking doesn't it. :-) I've said it before and I'll say it again--and again. Praise God that we don't have to fix what goes wrong and we can rely on Him to comfort us and steer us in the right direction---------if we let Him. :-) Beautiful page and thought my friend!

Your have created a lovely page as I do like birds, I think your little bird is so nice.

Thankyou for the words you shared. I am taking part in a Ladies bible Study on James and last week we came across the verse about " When you go through trials - count it all joy" But this is not the joy that the world knows it is the joy of having our Lord right beside us as we go through the trials.

Nancy, God Bless You
