*I am off on a little holiday! I have a couple of posts scheduled while I'm away but I won't be doing any blogging until later next week!
This hymn is another beautiful hymn of comfort and encouragement! Yes, it is a definite favorite of mine! The first verse says:
"What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
leaning on the everlasting arms;
what a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
leaning on the ever lasting arms.
Refrain:
Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms;
leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms."
As I mentioned in another recent Hymn and Scripture Challenge post, there is nothing comparable to the JOY and PEACE we can have from putting our trust and hope in the Lord Jesus Christ! :o)
For my page I printed the hymn music sheet out on white cardstock. I then used my Cricut to cut out all the wording from the printed music sheet. I then used some of the leftovers to punch out some flowers and layer them with pink cardstock. I wrote my Scripture a little bit crooked but decided it was okay. I then used a Christmas stamp set and made little banners that say "peace" and "joy". The Scripture verse is found in Psalm 16:11. It says:
"You have made known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasure at your right hand."

Nancy, I am also on vacation and at the airport in Boston headed back to NC. Just saw your beautiful post and beautiful page. Love it and love this hymn. Hope you are having a blast.
Beautiful card Nancy... love the song! ♥
This is so lovely and it was such a great idea to use the music for the cutting out. You might think your writing was a little crooked but I think your writing is so much better than mine that I would not have noticed!
I really like the title cut out of the music paper and I'm always a fan of layered punched flowers. Beautiful page Nancy. Hope you're having a wonderful trip. Hugs!
