Scripture Lessons and Lyrics #5 - Let Them See You

A very happy day to you, my friends!

I've been very busy working on fun new projects but not posting any of them. Now I will begin to bombard you with new projects! :o)

Today I have a new Scripture page to share with you. I have gotten a little bit behind on this challenge, so I hope to have another page soon and be all caught up again!

I am continuing with my Snap pocket page album and my Simon Says Stamp Card Kits. This time my pocket page was a full 8" X 6" which was fun to use.

The song "Let Them See You" is seriously one of my very favorite contemporary Christians songs. In fact, this song is my prayer for my life. I am posting a video that includes the lyrics but I have also added them below for you to read. My prayer is that each one of you that visit my blog will find a bit of encouragement or inspiration...no matter the subject...and that you will get a glimpse of my Heavenly Father through the things that I share. He is my joy and my salvation! :o)

I understand that many of you don't consider yourself "religious" and that some of you even try to avoid these posts.  It shows in the number of comments left in comparison to my other posts! lol However, the Scripture Challenge was the reason I started this blog in the first place. I know that it's really snowballed since then but this is still a main focus for me...and who I am! :o)

The top of my page contains the title. I used the pink letter stickers but then went around them in black so they would stand out. Under that I included the words in the chorus of the song. My Scripture verse is found in Matthew 5:16:

"Let your light shine before men,
that they may see your good deeds
and praise your Father in heaven."

Being a "light" is the theme of this page so I brought that to the design in several ways. I added diecut stars, twinkling sequins, and a sun shapes spot for the verse. One background paper says "Hello Sunshine" and the other is covered with pretty little stars. A little bit of twine and some pearls, and it was finished.

Materials Used:
Simon Says Stamp - March Card Kit;
Dies: Shapez - Frame 5,
Spellbinders Shapeabilities - Pagemaps Pot Pourri,
Spellbinders Nestabilities - Standard Circles (LG);
Twine: From a Previous SSS Card Kit;
Pearls: My Stash.

Here's the beautiful song.
It was written by JJ Weeks but I've chosen a video performed by Colton Dixon...a former American Idol contestant.
Enjoy!

                                                                "Let Them See You"

Take away the melodies
Take away the songs I sing
Take away all the lights
And all the songs You let me write
Does the man I am today
Say the words You need to say

Let them see You
In me
Let them hear You
When I speak
Let them feel You
When I sing
Let them see You
Let them see You
In me

Who am I without Your grace
Another smile, another face
Another breath, a grain of sand
Passing quickly through Your hand
I'd give my life, an offering
Take it all, take everything

Let them see You
In me
Let them hear You
When I speak
Let them feel You
When I sing
Let them see You
Let them see You
In me

With every breath I breathe
I sing a simple melody
But I pray they'll hear more than a song
In me, in me

Let them see You
In me
Let them hear You
When I speak
Let them feel You
When I sing
Let them see You

Oh, let them see You
In me
Let them hear You
When I speak
Let them feel You
When I sing
Let them see You
Just let them see You in me
Let them see You

What a beautiful card and love that you incorporated your own handwriting for sentiment. I also love that song as I listen to K-Love Radio everyday. Thanks for blessing us with your wonderful artwork at Word Art Wednesday. Have a nice day and sharing with you God's Word in 1 Corinthians 6:14, " By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also." Hugs always!
