Happy Thanksgiving...and Some Happy News!

Hello, my lovely friends!

This weekend is our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend!

As many of you already know...I lost my older brother this week.
As you read this I am traveling to lay him to rest.
Saturday is my brother's funeral,
followed by my Uncle's funeral on Sunday.

It's not quite the Thanksgiving weekend I had been looking forward to.
In spite of my deep sorrow...I am so very thankful for so much!
God is good...and ever faithful
...and it is well with my soul...
or it will be soon! ;o)

So that leads me to some happy news I have to share.
I have been invited to join the Deedee's Digis Design Team!
Yay for me! :o)
It's a yay for you too, as you get to see more of Deedee's fun digis!

So...with everything that's been happening around here,
I made a Thanksgiving card for all of you.
Even if your country is not celebrating this weekend...

Happy Thanksgiving to YOU!

I've always thought every day is the perfect day to give thanks! :o)

Oh Nancy, I didn't know, I'm so sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers especially this weekend.

Congrats on your fun news and your pumpkin card is very sweet (love the images) and I especially like the verse you've used on it. Hugs to you my bloggy sister-in-Christ friend!

Nancy so sorry for your losses. We lost two family members about 4 year backs and boy it's hard enough losing one, but two at once is very hard to bare. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
On a lighter note, so happy you are part of Deedee's team now and you have made a wonderful card here. Terrific for Thanksgiving.

Your card is beautiful, Nancy. My heart and prayers are with you as you say farewell to your brother. I'm sure you can think of all the wonderful times you had with him and you recognize Thanksgiving in a different way this year.
Blessing hugs,
Teresa

I'm saddened to read of the loss of your brother but I know that you will find peace even if it takes a while. I hope you still find joy in Thanksgiving and in the support of your family and friends.
I think pumpkins are one of my favourite things about this time of year; I love to eat them and there is something so aesthetically pleasing about them, so I do love the fabulous ones on your card...and the gorgeous design too!

Big hugs, Kat xx

Hi Nancy,

First off can I just extend my sympathies on your losses, what a difficult time for you.

Congratulations on your new DT post!

Now, a few weeks ago, you left us a comment on the Sweet stampin' challenge blog asking if we could add a newsletter option. Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with us and make your suggestion. I think our e.mail subscription would work very well for you. If you go to the blog and scroll quite a way down (between Followers & Blog archive), in the right hand column is a box entitled 'Subscribe by e.mail'. Add your e.mail address in there & click subscribe. You should then have an e.mail drop in each time we post something. I hope that helps. I look forward to seeing you play along again. Abi, Sweet Stampin' xx

I'm so sorry for the losses you've suffered recently, but I admire your spirit in carrying on with such a positive outlook. Congrats on joining Deedee's DT too and welcome aboard! We don't celebrate Thanksgiving until late November, but your card is wonderful with those pretty pumpkins and fall colors. It's a weekend of mixed emotions for you, but I wish you peace and happiness through it all.

So sorry to hear about your losses Nancy and you're right, it's probably not how you intended or wanted to spend the weekend but sometimes life takes over and we get no say in it.
This is so lush with the pretty fall colours and that fabulous sunflower. Congrats too on your new DT!
