Flourishes LC - Dropping You a Line

Hello, my friends!

I wanted to show you the project I'm sharing on the Flourishes LC blog today.
This is an older set that is still available in the store.
It's called "Kids Play" and you can find it HERE.

This stamp set includes several wonderful images,
and I couldn't decide which one to use first.
I asked my husband to decide for me, and this is the one he chose.

I decided on a kraft card base,
and then chose the medium blue from the Color Made Easy Paper - Iced Aqua Collection.
I stamped the image and sentiment in black, trimmed it out, and matted it with kraft.
I cut another background piece slightly smaller than the card base, and dry embossed it.
I added a strip of ribbon across the base, and wrapped it with jute twine.
Finally, I adhered all my layers together, popping the image up on foam tape.

Here's a closer look at the stamping:

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Kraft,
Flourishes LC - Color Made Easy - Iced Aqua Collection;
Stamps: Flourishes LC - Kids Play;
Ink: Ranger Archival - Jet Black;
Embossing: Sizzix Stampin' Up Plate - Flourish;
Ribbon: Celebrate It;
Twine: Hemptique Cord - Natural.

Great masculine card! Love the simplicity. I'm one of those that has a really hard time with masculine cards.
