For my Christmas card I used an image from The Stamping Boutique called "Nativity".
I coloured the image using my Spectrum Noir Markers.
I was going to add a coloured background and some bits
but then I decided that it really didn't need anything.
I just adhered it to a kraft card base and added a jute bow.

This is so sweet! I love how you kept the background very natural -- the twine is especially a beautiful touch. Perfect for showing the humble beginnings of our Lord! I haven't been able to hop around in Blogland in recent months, but am finally back to crafting and visiting, and am so happy to see you still creating such wonderful things. The wood colouring is awesome! And I agree, just on the kraft card works great, jute string is perfect embelli for it :D
