Starfish & Sandcastles - New Release at Polkadoodles

Hello, my friends!

Over the last few days I have been sharing some fun projects over on facebook.
These posts have been to celebrate a New Release Collection at Polkadoodles.
This collection is called Starfish & Sandcastles...and it's fabulous fun!

Today I would like to share with you the mini album that I created using this collection.
The album measures 6" X 6 3/4" and would be ideal for summer or holiday photos.
It will actually hold up to 22 4" X 6" photos.

The front and back cover are chipboard covered with papers from the collection.
The inside pocket pages are made from cardstock.

Here is the front cover.
I fussy cut a number of pieces and adhered them with foam tape for added dimension.
I added some sequins to make the sunshine sparkle.
Finally, I added some ribbon and a seahorse charm to the red binding rings.

I used my favorite paper from the collection to line the inside of the cover.
On the right side is the first pocket page.
Each page has a fun border punched pocket on the bottom,
and a side-loading pocket that holds a 5 1/2" X 6" tag.

Each page has been decorated with bits and pieces from the kit.
There are many images of Winnie and Rocco that have been matted and tucked into the pockets.
These are perfect for additional photos or journaling.

The border punch used on the pockets is all sandcastles, sand pails and shovels.
It coordinates beautifully with the collection.

All the tags and pennants have been adhered in a way that allows a photo to be placed behind them.

All the background papers are from the kit.

Here we're back to my favorite paper on the inside of the back cover.

Here's the back cover.
Here you can see how I distressed all the edges of the papers throughout the album.
It worked with the beach theme.

Here is a look at the tag that fits in the side-loading pocket.
I used a border punch that looked shell-ish.
I always like to have something decorative popping out of my pockets.

Here's one last look at the entire album.
You can see some of the dimension on the front cover.

There you have it!

I really hope you like my beach themed mini album!
It was so much fun to make!
Other than a few items used from my stash,
everything came from the fabulous

This collection is available in CD or digital format.
You can buy the entire collection or pick and choose what you want!
