Hello, my friends!
Welcome back to a brand new Customer Challenge at Gecko Galz.
The July Challenge is:
In a Mermaid's Garden!
I made a tag for the Challenge this month.
I created the tag base from an aqua green cardstock.
Then I used a Gecko Galz paper from the Marble Halls Paper Pack.
I cut it slightly smaller than the tag base.
I punched across the bottom with a decorative punch.
I ink and tool distressed all the edges and adhered them together.
Then I adhered a piece of cheesecloth to the center of the tag.
Once it was in place, I sprayed the whole thing with Glimmer Mist.
Once it was dry, I adhered the colored image,
and all the pretty rhinestones.
I also added some sea-weedy fibers to the tag top.
Here's a closer look at the sweet mermaid image.
This image is from the Sunny Summer Digital Stamp Set.
I colored it with my markers, added some Stickles,
and adhered it in place with foam tape.

I was so intrigued by your title! Your tag is glorious! That mermaid is delightful and the cheesecloth is perfect! Love your seedweedy fibers and all of your pretty accents! YOWZA!
This is a stunning tag Nancy! I love how you used the cheesecloth - it looks fantastic!
Wow. Your tag is gorgeous. I love all of the wonderful texture. I think this would fit into our challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies. A mermaid is at least 1/2 critter, right? hugs, Teresa

Beautiful tag, Nancy!
cute tag love all the textures
Love the shimmer on the tail, she's delightful! I also know for a fact that there is no way I could have made the netting look that good. Random, but also tidy!! Artfully tidy crafting is now refered to as Nancy-crafting at my house :)Fibres have worked out great too!
