Happy Tuesday to all of you! I am very honored today to be Guest Designer for Kathryne at StampArt Design by Kathryne. I am showcasing a brand new release called "Snow Mail." It's such a fun image to play with, and you can find it in the Whimsy Shop right HERE. I created another fun pocket card with a postcard inside. I coloured the image and fussy cut both the bird and the snowman. The "air mail" sentiment is also by StampArt Design by Kathryne! It is one of many sentiments that come as a bonus when you purchase the image. I added a few snowflake punches, including one behind the bird that you really can't see. I also used Liquid Applique for the first time! How fun is that stuff? Kathryne always creates the sweetest images! They always seem to coincide with my collections; teddy bears, raggedy dolls, and snowmen! So pop on over to the shop HERE and take a peek at all the goodness! :o)

Hello, my friends! Today is the beginning of a new challenge over at A Die for a Sketch. It is the last challenge at A Die for a Sketch. Dunja announced a couple of months ago that she was closing down the challenge blog. This is another one of the changes that I have been referring to lately. I will be back on the 20th of the month for my last ADFAS post! For this final month we are sponsored again by Kathryne at StampArt Design by Kathryne! I want to thank Kathryne for all her generosity to us at ADFAS. Kathryne, it has been a joy to work with you and to play with all your lovely images!
A gift of five images to one lucky winner!

Here is my card using the sweet image called "Beary Special Gift" which you can find in the Whimsy Store right HERE! This card was inspired by the fact that I always have some teddy bears under or next to my Christmas tree. The sketch was just perfect for this little scene. I started by choosing a paper that looked like wallpaper. Then I created the Christmas tree with the MS Branch punch and a woodgrain stamp on the trunk. I added some little ornaments from my stash. The tree skirt is cut from a doily die. I found the "Merry Christmas" in my button box. Finally, I colored the image and placed it on the tree skirt. As always, I had lots of fun putting this card together! I hope you like it! :o)

Hello again, my friends! It's time for a new challenge at Lia Stampz. This time you need to make it CAS...or "clean and simple." For my card I used an image called "Igor and Ilinca" and you can find it in the Whimsy shop right HERE. This image was among the first Lia Stampz images I ever purchased. It made me smile and I couldn't resist! Isn't it fun? My card looks a little busy for a CAS card but I think it's the paper. I just matted the image, added a bit of Washi tape and the sentiment, and then a touch of stickles. Not only CAS but QAE...quick and easy!

I wish you all JOY! :o)

Hello again! Today starts a new challenge over at Lia Stampz. Challenge #53 is "Use Your Paper Scraps." I actually don't have much for paper scraps. I'm not sure if that's because I use them all up, or if I just don't cut into enough paper! ;o) I did find these bits and pieces left over from a previous card. I think I am now left with a 2" square. The super sweet Lia Stampz image is called Haley. You can find it in the Whimsy ShoprightHERE. My card is pretty self-explanatory. It was a really fun image to color! I added Stickles to the snowflake punches, Liquid Pearls to the top of the sign and the hat pom-pom, and then I added both to the snow pile. I think most of you know how I feel about the snow, so "Enjoy" is the perfect sentiment for this card. Finally, I added this super delicate bow because the die was brand new and I just had to use it! Please gather up a few of your scraps, create something, and come on over and join us at Lia Stampz! You could win a prize or be chosen as the Spotlight Artist! Have a fabulous weekend, my friends! Would it be awful if I wished you all a wonderful snowfall? lol We have lots in our forecast, so maybe I'll enjoy it for all of you instead! :o)

Happy Weekend, everyone! There's a brand new challenge starting today at the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog. This time it's Give Thanks / Autumn Colours. I had lots of fun playing with this fabulous new image designed by Wendy Burns called "A Time to Give." The background paper is also a brand new release by Wendy. Isn't it lovely? You can find newly released papers and images in the All Dressed Up Shop. This is another 8" page for my special Fall/Thanksgiving album that I have been working on. The image was coloured to match the background paper. Since I wanted more of the pretty background paper to show, I fussy cut around the image and adhered it with dimensionals. It was easy to do because the image was printed a little bit bigger. Everything was layered onto a textured cardstock base. The sentiment "A time to give" is included on the image. I punched it out and sprayed it with glimmer mists. It's very sparkly! I added some roses and bling and it was finished! Wendy has generously provided some freebies for you to play with so you can enter our challenges! Head over to the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog and join in the fun! :o)

Hello again, my friends! A new challenge has begun over at Lia Stampz, and it's "Upcycle or Recycle Something." I have made two little projects for this challenge. I recently received a wonderful new thimble for my collection from my MIL. She gave it to me in this tiny little paper bag. You just know I had to keep the bag, right? I think I'll be using it for a pocket in a future mini album. I also had this little gift box ready to reuse. Both of these were the perfect size for this sweet Lia Stampz image called "Christmas Bunny." You can find it at Whimsy Stamps right HEREfor a bargain price! Come on over to Lia Stampz and join in the fun challenge! :o)
Hello again, my friends! Wow! Can you believe I'm back already with another Hymn and Scripture page? I bet you haven't even seen the last one yet! With this page I am FINALLY all caught up on this challenge! :o) This is another beautiful hymn that is one of my very favorites! It is an incredible thing to hear hundreds of voices of believers lifted together in this song...especially when they hit the chorus! You can FEEL the HOPE and the JOY! The first verse, the chorus, and the third verse go like this:
My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name. On Christ, the solid rock, I stand; all other ground is sinking sand; all other ground is sinking sand. His oath, His covenant, His blood support me in the whelming flood; when all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay.
The Scripture verse I chose is found in Romans 15:4. It says:
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us,
so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scripture we might have hope.
If you find yourself feeling discouraged or disheartened by life, get out a Bible and read it. You will find encouragement and receive HOPE!! :o)
Several factors played into the design of this page. First of all is the hymn itself and the message of HOPE. Secondly, is the fact that October is breast cancer awareness month, and we have all heard the exciting announcement that Jennifer has been declared cancer free. She has been an amazing example of someone living in hope. Then finally, was this sweet Jellypark image that I wanted to add to my page, called "Girl hugging heart." I added the word HOPE to the heart. Then I remembered that Jellypark has a Pinktober challenge going on. That is what inspired my color choice for my page. I hope you all have a weekend of JOY...and HOPE! :o)
Hello, my friends! It's reminder time for challenge #17 over at A Die for a Sketch! Today I have my card to share with you. I used the sketch upside-down, like this:
I used an adorable Milk Coffee Image called "Michelle Autumn" which can be found right HERE. Here is my card:
Hello, my friends! We've just had a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada! My girls were both home...one brought the Boy...and we enjoyed lots of fun and lots of food! It was a special time of giving thanks for our abundant blessings from God! Today I want to share the new challenge going on over at Lia Stampz. Challenge #51 is Spooky Bingo and here is the bingo board:
I chose the first vertical line for my card. I cut the shape on my Cricut (love that thing), I've glittered the candy cane in the image, and I've added ribbon. I think this image is super fun! It's called "Ilinca Candy Cane" and you can find it in the Whimsy Stamps store right HERE. Not too much that's "spooky" about my card, is there? ;o)
So pick any line of three on the card, and come on over to Lia Stampz to link up your project. You could win a free digi stamp, or maybe you'll be our Featured Artist! See you there! :o)

Papers: American Crafts - Merrymint, Colorbox - Textured Cardstock;
Hello, my friends! I took a little time to play today and made a fun page. This page is for the Anything Goes Challenge over at Jellypark. I haven't played with them for a long time and was happy to finally get a chance! I've created an 8" page that will be going into a Winter/Christmas album that I'm making. I think this just might be the first page. The sweet image I used is "girl in winter coat hat and gloves" and can be found in the Jellypark Shop HERE. I believe I won this image in a previous challenge. I've layered some papers, used some punches, and even pulled out the decorative scissors to cut the snow. I added some inking and the sparkled everything up with stickles. The leaves on our trees have been incredibly beautiful this year. Today a big wind blew through and some of the trees are almost bare. I say when the pretty leaves are gone then it's time for winter, and that sparkling blanket of white! I might have a bit of a wait though since it's been 22 degrees Celcius. What about you? Are you ready for winter? :o)

Happy Tuesday, my friends! Today is the start of a new challenge over at Lia Stampz! This time it's "Shabby Chic"...a favorite of many of you! For my project I decorated the cover of a Heidi Swapp wood album. I used this adorable little bird image called "Christmas Birdie"; it's a brand new release. You can find it at Whimsy Stamps right HERE. I decided I wanted to make myself a "Blessings" book. I'm going to use it to record the many blessings I have in my life. Then, if I'm ever having a bad day, I can just open this book up and be reminded of how blessed I really am! :o) I had fun coloring the background with a combination of Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glam, some Smooch and a stencil. Then I added a little bit of stamping, some diecuts, and the sweet little bird. He's been colored to match the cover, complete with smooched boots and pompom! So there you have it...a brand new challenge! You've got until October 15th to come on over toLia Stampz to join us. You could win an image or be the featured artist! Oh, and just so you know...your names are all written in my new book of blessings! :o)
