Scripture Challenge - Hymn

I have to tell you I really love the old hymns! I love the newer worship music we sing in church too...but I have a very special place in my heart for the old hymns! Never mind the new-fangled overheads and fancy projector screens either. You have to hold the old, time-weathered book in your hands. You have to feel it and smell the mustines of the darkened pages. You have to imagine all the voices that have been raised together over the years in harmonious worship to our God in heaven. It's also fascinating to discover the history of the hymns we love to sing and those who have written them. My dad was a singer and I lost him a number of years ago. When we sing an old hymn in church I hear my Dad...right there in my ear...singing along with me! For many reasons, I really love the old hymns! :o)

Love the song that came from this scripture. We need to sing a new song of praise daily, thanks for the reminder :)

Thank you for that reminder -- the new song He puts in our hearts and our mouths daily. So much to be thankful for -- I love the colors you used here -- it all fits together so well.

Very pretty... the music background looks good and the red bird a nice touch (but then red it my favourite colour)

This piece is beautiful. Okay, you'll have to tell me....is this part of your 6x6 thing you are doing. Getting in the tail end of stuff is not the best place to be sometimes. I love how you wrote about your Dad. The love and respect you held for him comes through. You still have a piece of him with you. Love it.

You do some beautiful work. I'm glad you show it here so I can see.
