Procrastination Project - "Wonderful"

Yes, it's true! I am procrastinating my 52 Week Challenge project this week! lol I don't have some of the supplies I need and I haven't come up with a plan yet. However, the week is not yet over! In the meantime, I was in desperate need of some creative distraction so I made a card. Yes, you heard me correctly! It's not even a regular, ordinary card either. I did my very first coloring! I used colored pencils, odorless mineral spirits, and blending stumps for the very first time. Okay...I am now totally hooked on ANOTHER creative medium. Please keep in mind this is my first colored image. I'm sure I will get smoother with more practice! :o)

WoW Nancy super Cute card, I have seen a couple tutorials on this and would love to try this. Just keep forgetting to look for Mineral spirits at Michaels. Can't wait to see what else you "color"

Smoother! Girl you couldn't have done this any better. You are an awesome colorer (hmmm is that a word??--LOL) You did such an awesome job. Look at that great punch work, die cuts, a gorgeous bow, and you used ORANGE! Do you know how hard that color is to use well! YAY!

The card sentiment says it all for me. WONDERFUL is an apt word from the coloring you've done. For your first time at it I'd say stupendous is a bit more apt. I'm so glad you had fun with this.

Love the orange, it really makes this card sing a happy song :-)

Once again, outstanding job. Nancy, you are really talented and I'm so glad to be on your coat tails :-)
Love you - Leslie

Not fair that you could be this good on your first try!! It's perfect!! And it's not necessarily the easiest image for a first try, either! You even did the shadowy stuff around her body--like the pro's do! Nancy, I'm impressed!! (and it IS fun, and a little therapeutic, huh. Don't do it often, myself, but when I do--I can't wait to try it again!). This card is adorably cheery and was a great way to start the day!! Hope you have a great weekend!!

Kudos to you my friend! I love the card - such an adorable stamp. I have to know what it's called. And what a fun way to color, I have never tried that. Good for you! I'm inspired.

No one would ever have guessed that this is the first time you used this technique and made a great job of it too - can you tell my eyes have changed to green! Lovely happy card with its springlike feel to it :)

If you get much smoother than the coloring on this image, you will be off the radar. This is one beautiful colored image. Maybe I need to go let you train me.

BEAUTIFUL Work!
