Hymn and Scripture Challenge #15 - Though Troubles Assail Us

Happy Friday!
Are you all shocked that I have another post so soon? I am! lol  I have another Hymn and Scripture Challenge page to share with you. I still had my Simon Says Stamp Card kit out on my work table, so I used the kit to make this page. After a lengthy search for the music sheet for this hymn, I did find one. I wasn't allowed to print it out though, so I improvised. I used my Stampin' Up wheel to create my own music sheet. Then I printed out all the words to the song and added that to my page. After I had done the border punch across the bottom edge of the peach piece I was wishing I had a matching corner punch. After a little bit of playing I figured out how to get a great corner punch out of my straight border punch. I made some of my favorite cherry blossom flowers, and I think that's about all I have to say about my page. Please let me know if you have any questions. :o)

Now, on to a few words about this beautiful hymn! Although I'm quite familiar with this hymn, it's not nearly as common as others we've done. I don't even have it all memorized! ;o) I'll have to work on that because the words are really beautiful and full of wisdom.  I've added an enlarged photo of the words so that you can see them clearly. My Scripture verse is large enough to read. The whole message is this.."The Lord will provide!"
As it says about God in the second half of 1 Timothy 6:17...

"...who will richly provide us with EVERYTHING for our enjoyment."

Not only does God provide us with EVERYTHING, He also provides it for our ENJOYMENT! Isn't that something? What a loving and generous God we have! So let's remember to put our HOPE in Him and not in the uncertain things of this world! As the song says..."the Lord is our power, the Lord will provide!"

Nancy, It is impossible to pick out any one thing that I think is spectactular, there are just too many. I loved the corners but then I noticed the 4 filigreed scallops at the bottom between the wonderful floral arrangement all on paper with music scores. The old hymns are my favorite by far yet it seems they are being put to the side. My fondest memory as a child was stand at Daddy's left hand as he played the piano and we sang hymns. This entry has blessed me. Thank you so much for posting on our site.

Fabulous! I love your punched corners and the bottom edge. Way to go! figuring out how to make that punch work as a corner punch. Your flowers are so delightful and a bit sparkly, enough to make me smile :D

This hymn is a great one. I remember snippets of the music from when I was a young girl. This reminded me to send a Thankful Prayer up and out for the many blessings we enjoy in our life.

Thank you Nancy for this reminder.

Love you - Leslie
