Hymn and Scripture Challenge #11 - Jesus Never Fails

Sunday Blessings to all of you, my friends!

I thought that Sunday morning would be a lovely time to schedule my next Hymn and Scripture Challenge page.
Jesus Never Fails!! Do you believe that?
People are people but Jesus is Lord! Friends, and even family, can turn against us, harm us, or abandon us. Even those that we think can be trusted...can sometimes turn out to be untrustworthy. Jesus never fails! He has promised to be with us...ALWAYS! He has promised that He will NEVER leave us! Deuteronomy 31:6 says:

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them,
for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you."

Isn't that a beautiful promise? What a comfort it is for each of us!
The hymn "Jesus Never Fails" is also full of beautiful comfort. I have included all of the lyrics at the end of this post but I want to share the second verse here.

"Tho the sky be dark and drear,
Fierce and strong the gale,
Just remember He is near,
And He will not fail."

This is the verse that inspired my page. The background paper is for the "dark and drear". The title is bright yellow, as Jesus is our light in the storm. Although the letters are a little bit wind-tossed which comes from the next line "fierce and strong the gale." That line reminds me of times when I was a kid. When the wind was madly blowing and so strong you could hear it roar, I would go and stand in it with my eyes closed. Prairie winds can be something fierce! It always reminded me of the mighty power of the Lord. He directs the winds! He calms the winds! He is in control of the winds! "Just remember He is near, and He will not fail." This all means a little extra to me, as the winds are the biggest factor with my migraines. He is near me...in the midst of the pain! He will not fail me...in providing the strength I need! God is good! :o)
Anyways, back to my page. As I was reminded of standing in the wind as a child, I remembered this great Sushi Doll that Susi created called "Wind Through My Hair." She was the perfect addition to this page. The Sushi Doll eyes are fun to play with creatively. This time I just colored them closed. I have included the Scripture verse and the second verse of the song on my page. Then I just put together a few flowers and added them.
I pray that each of you will hold this promise close to you! He will never leave you or forsake you...Jesus never fails! :o)

I don't have a video to share with you today but here are the lyrics to the hymn:

Verse 1
Earthly friends may prove untrue,
Doubts and fears assail;
One still love and cares for you;
One who will not fail.

Chorus
Jesus never fails,
Jesus never fails;
Heav'n and earth may pass away
But Jesus never fails.

Verse 2
Tho' the sky be dark and drear,
Fierce and strong the gale,
Just remember He is near,
And He will not fail.

Verse 3
In life's dark and bitter hour
Love will still prevail;
Trust His everlasting pow'r,
Jesus will not fail.

Oh, I needed this this AM...almost had a wreck this AM taking my son to band and it was MY fault. Pulled out in front of someone I didn't see, but was able to stop in time. Then bit his head off because he made a sarcastic comment as my heart was sinking to my stomach...and I'll just stop there...you probably know how that all felt, and is STILL feeling...and I'm just thankful for your post!!!
