Christmas Candle Card

Wow! Even I didn't think I'd be this fast with my next post! :o)

I have made my first Christmas card of the year!
With this card I am participating in the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Special Christmas DT Blog Hop

A little while ago I purchased a couple of wonderful stamp sets and dies from this great company.
Their blog hop was the perfect inspiration to use a couple of them.
I must say that I'm super happy with the quality and crispness of the stamps!
You can take a look at their beautiful selection in the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

For my card I used the fabulous clear stamp set called "Christmas Light".
You can find it in the store HERE.

I coloured the stamped image up with my Spectrum Noir markers.
Then I cut it out using the Christmas Light Candle die found HERE.

I think a pretty candle like this deserves a window scene.
I used a die to cut out my window frame.
Then I had to figure out where to put my sentiment where it wouldn't interfere with my scene.
I decided to make a little sheer curtain for my window.
I used Staz-on ink to stamp the verse from the set onto my velum curtain.
Now the verse is easily read and doesn't interrupt my scene.
  I added stickles to the holly, berries and flame, and I put glossy accents on the candle drippings.
Finally, I added a few pearls to the window frame.

Materials Used:
Papers: K & Company - Yuletide, Recollections - Cardstock;
Stamp: Sweet 'n Sassy - Christmas Light,
Spectrum Noir Markers;
Dies: Spellbinders - Decorative Window Scene;
Sweet 'n Sassy - Christmas Light Candle Die;
Ink: Staz-on - Jet Black, Distress Ink - Walnut Stain;
Punch: EK Success - Arrow Border Punch;
Stickles: Lemon Ice, Candy Cane, Peeled Paint;
Gloss Accents;
Pearls: My Stash.
