Hello, my friends!
I'm back to share another Emerald Creek DT project with you today!
I had so much fun putting this together, using great products from the shop!
Here's what I made:
Here's how I did it:
I've had both this 6 x 6 canvas, and the leaf patterned tissue paper,
in my stash for years. It was time to use them in a project.
I began by tearing pieces of the tissue paper...with no rhyme or reason.

I then used a paintbrush and matte medium to adhere them to the canvas.
I made sure to wrap the sides with tissue as well.
I then found a piece of plain kraft colored tissue.
It didn't quite match the leaf pattern tissue - but it didn't matter.
I then gathered up my Emerald Creek stamps (links below).

Using Jet Black Archival Ink, I stamped the images onto the tissue.
I did several of each while I was at it.

I then tore around the images,
and adhered them in place using the matte medium.
During this process it's easy to get wrinkles in the surface.

I took out any that interfered with the image, but I left the others in.
It adds some really nice texture.
Once everything was dry, I coated it with a layer of embossing ink.
I then sprinkled it liberally with the Clear Fine Gloss Embossing Powder.
Then I hit it with my heat gun, until it was all evenly melted.
Here's the first coat:
I repeated this process two more times.
Here's a look at the canvas after three coats of the clear.
Isn't that a beautiful shine?

Before the last coat was completely set, I sprinkled some of the
Caramel Rock Candy by Pam Bray in the areas that I wanted it,
and again hit it with my heat gun.
This was my first time using this product.

I was hoping it would look like the rocky, gravely areas
that we often see at abandoned farm yards.
It's a great product, and very easy to use.

I just kept sprinkling it on until it looked the way I wanted it to.
Finally, when everything was set and cooled, I added a couple of embellishments.
I tied some jute knots to a metal band, and adhered it in place.

Then I did the same with an adorable Squirrel Charm from the shop.
Here's a closer look:
Doesn't that Rock Candy add some fabulous texture?
This was such a fun combination of products to play with!
