My Vintage Album for Mini Album Mania's Final Challenge

   Hello, my friends!

It's time for a new Challenge at Mini Album Mania Challenge!

Unfortunately, this will be the final challenge.
There just hasn't been enough participation for the challenge to continue.
I want to give Leslie a big thank you for giving it a shot!
It's been lots of fun to be involved.

Here's my mini album for this month:

I found this fun 6" chipboard album in my stash.
The cover is so simple and plain.
I stamped "vintage" and inserted it into a book plate that I placed on the front cover.
I did a little bit of inking on the edges...and it's done.

The background pages are all edge distressed.

All the embellishments and inserts have been inked.

I used a really fun combination of products
that work beautifully together.

There's lots of room for adding photos,
and documenting all the great memories.

The photos and words included also offer some good journaling prompts.

The background pages are perfect for a vintage album.

The vintage photos are such a fun addition.

 The back cover was just plain chipboard, so I didn't include a photo.

Thanks for looking!

Mini Album Mania May Challenge

   Hello, my friends!

It's time for a new Challenge at Mini Album Mania Challenge!

This challenge will begin today, May 1st, and continue until June 15th!
So you have lots of time to participate!

Here's my mini album for this month:

This fun Spring mini measures 5" square.
It consists of eight chipboard pages.
The cover has been decorated with one of the journaling cards,
along with some pretty flowers with pearl centers.
I added alphabet stickers to spell "SPRING".

Here I formed a pocket out of another journal card.
A coordinating tag is tucked into the pocket.
A pretty flower decorates the other page.

Here I added the journal card on the right,
creating a side-load pocket.
I tucked in a tag, and added another flower.

On the left side, I added a belly band.
On the right side, I added more flowers.

Another simple spread with a top-loading pocket on the right.

Here's another side loading pocket,
with a flower added to the right side.

Here's a belly band on the right with a pretty flower.
There's another journal card tucked into the belly band.

A flower on the left side,
and a top loading pocket on the right.

Finally, here's the back cover:

This is such lovely paper for creating a "SPRING" mini album!
So many pretty flowers, birds, and bees!

Mini Album Mania - January Challenge

 Happy New Year, my friends!

Welcome to my first post of 2024!
Can you believe we're beginning another year already?
Where does the time go? ;o)

It's time for a new Challenge at Mini Album Mania Challenge!

Here's my mini album for this month:

I used a Sizzix pennant die for my base.
It measures 4 1/2" x 6".
I cut 10 pennants from black cardstock.

I used an old Echo Park Collection for all the backgrounds and bits.

Each spread has belly bands and tuck spots.

The collection included lots of fun journal cards.
Most of the backgrounds are open to add photos.

I used a lot of the cute stickers from the collection as well.

For my binding, I used two rings.
I added black cardstock reinforcements to each of the holes.

Finally, I tied a pretty piece of ribbon to each ring.
Here's the back cover.

Materials Used:
Sizzix Pennant Die;
Echo Park Paper Collection;
Black Cardstock;
Walnut Stain Distress Ink;
Binder Rings;
Offray Ribbon.

Mini Album Mania - November Challenge

   Hello, my friends!

It's time for a new Challenge at Mini Album Mania Challenge!
A big THANK YOU to all that joined us for our very first challenge.
It was lots of fun to see what you all made!

Here's my mini album for this month:

This mini was created from a kit that I won several years ago.
All the materials were included, except for the cable ring.
Even the pretty, handmade flower was included.

There are six pages:

I don't know the name of the paper line
but the papers are so pretty, with gloss and glitter treatments.

I decorated all the pages in a similar manner.
There are flower/tag tuck spots, along with lace pockets.

The tabs have been attached to mini coin envelopes,
which are tucked into the lace pockets/belly bands.

These are a great spot to add photos and hidden journaling.

This was so much fun to put together!

Here's the back cover, which I left plain:

She cut the base from corrugated cardboard,
using the Tim Holtz Baroque Die.
The pages were all cut using the same die.
I simply inked the edges and adhered them to the cardboard.

It's a chunky little album!

It can be lots of fun to make a simple little album from a kit!
It was just a matter of inking the edges, adhering the pages,
and putting it all together! :o)

Introducing Mini Album Mania - September Challenge

 Hello, my friends!

Today I'm back to share another fun new venture!

I've joined the Design Team at the Brand New Mini Album Mania Challenge!

Most of you know that I love to make mini albums!
My friend Leslie came up with this great idea to to start a mini album challenge.
You can find all the rules over at the Challenge Blog.
There are only six challenges a year, with about six weeks between challenges.
That allows lots of time to make a fun mini!

Here is what I made for the September Challenge:

I began with a 4 x 6 album base that I put together using kraft cardstock.
Then I used a really cute digital kit for all the backgrounds and embellishments.
(links below)

I added a pocket to the inside front cover.
I decorated it and added some fussy cuts.
I've also added photo mats and tuck spots.

A decorated belly band holds another photo mat.
Another pocket holds lots of fun bits.

Here I added side pockets to hold more photo mats.

More pockets that hold some fun barnwood tags.
Aren't those chicks cute?

Here I have another belly band with more photo mats,
and a pocket on the inside back cover.

Here's a look at the cover:

Materials Used:
Cute Farm Digital Collection - By Digital Paper;
Kraft Cardstock;
Antique Linen Distress Ink;
WRMK Corner Chomper;
Offray Ribbon.
