I love to organize and re-organize my craft room!

It's one of my favorite things to do! 

I was a little bit horrified when it was decided we would share our spaces in this blog hop.

I have just turned my room upside down in another re-organization blitz!  

Really not good timing on my part! lol 

I am blessed to have a bright room that measures 13' X 16'.

It's been my craft room for 18 years and has seen a lot of changes;

both in crafts and in set-up.

I really can't share the whole room in the condition it's in but I'll share some parts.

My husband is very talented, and builds me anything I want. 

He actually came up for the plan for these shelves.

The end unit is my die-cutting station. 

My Big Shot goes on top, and my dies are all close-by.

I always work standing up. 

I colour sitting down...but otherwise I'm always standing.

This is where I work.

I had my husband build a raised area for me, so I don't get a back ache.

I also work on a glass surface. 

It's just my favorite surface to work on for many reasons.

Everything I need is close at hand, either on top or under the work surface.

If I turn around from my work surface, this is what you see.

My trimmer, score board, another glass surface, and lots more is all easily accessible.

This is one of my favorite organizational spots.

It's in the black filing cabinet right under my work surface. 

The first two drawers are shallow and hold inks and other mediums.

This bottom drawer holds all my 8 1/2" X 11" cardstock. 

It's all sorted by colour, then in front of each colour is a file folder to hold the scraps in those colours. 

When I need a smaller piece I search through the scrap folder first.

 Here's a peek at one of my pegboards. 

This is my favorite ribbon organization! 

Do you know what these trays are?

They're chick feeders from a local hardware store.

Yes, actual chick feeders and they hold ribbon spools perfectly!

I love this system!

Cards and More Shop Blog - Challenge #18

Hello, my friends!

Welcome to Challenge #18 at the Cards and More Shop.

This month we have a photo inspiration:

There's lots to work with in that photo, isn't there?

I decided to have a little play with my Distress Oxide Inks on kraft cardstock.

Here's what I made:

I began by cutting my my tree out using the Dutch Doobadoo template,

 for both the Tree and the Easel.

I distressed the edges of the tree.

I heat embossed the design using the Enchanted Gold embossing powder.

It's so pretty and glittery!

Next, I inked the tree using Distress Oxide Ink in Peeled Paint, 

and a little Fossilized Amber around the edges.

I then spritzed it with water. 

After it was dried, I buffed the embossing with a paper towel.

Finally, I added pearls to the center of the star-bursts. 

You'd never guess that my tree decoration stamping came from an ocean themed stamp set! lol

The Project Bin - Woo to the Hoo Mini Album

Happy Wednesday, my friends!

Today I'm back with another project for The Project Bin! 

It's been a while since I've made a new mini album. 
As soon as I received the New Leaf Stamp Set from The Project Bin,
I was reminded of this sweet little owl mini that I had in my stash.
I pulled it out and got busy!
I also added the Autumn's Calling Stamp Set,
and used these two sets for all the stamping.

I'm sharing the first half this week, 
and the second half in my next post, two weeks from now.

This is the front cover.
I left it uncovered but I did spray it with Glimmer Mist.
It shimmers beautifully!
I added paper eyes and beak, and a ribbon bow.
I added some stamped leaves. 
Finally, I added some tags with the stamped title.
Isn't it fun?

The album isn't finished yet.

I'll be adding photos, and the usual tags and extra bits.

The sweet little leaves stamp so crisply.

The owl sitting on the branch is just too cute!

The papers work beautifully with the wonderful sentiments in these sets.

New Release at All Dressed Up - Girls Christmas Stocking

Hello, my friend!

Welcome to a New Release post for All Dressed Up!

I'll be here on the 7th of each month to share a fun new image with you! :o)

Today I'm sharing a new image called "Girls Christmas Stocking",
which you can find HERE.


This is another new FAVORITE for me!
I love her!

After printing the image, I decided to colour it in soft shades.
She was so much fun to colour!

Then I went looking through my stash for a paper that would work.

I found this one that was just perfect.

Then I made some soft pink poinsettias to match,

and die-cut some soft green holly branches.

Here's a closer look at the sweet image:

One last look at the finished card.

I'll have to make her up again in more traditional Christmas colours too.

Happy Everything! with Swedish House Crafts

Hello, my friends!  

I have another fun Fall project to share with you for Swedish House Crafts!

I don't know about you...but we love to have a good wiener roast! 

There's nothing like cooking your food over a great campfire, is there? 

Then you have to finish it up by roasting marshmallows, and making smores! YUM! 

In summer it was just too hot, 

and we also had a fire ban for much of the season because of the dry conditions. 

So Fall is the season for fun fires!

This brings me to my card, and this wonderful Reprint Stamp from Swedish House Crafts.

 I stamped the image and coloured it with my Spectrum Noir markers. 

I cut it out with a great Gummiapan stitched oval die, 

and did some simple layering with these wonderful Maja Designs papers.

I popped the image up on foam tape to give it some dimension.

I thought this fabulous "Happy Everything!" sentiment stamp from Gummiapan was the perfect addition. 

I layered it the same way I layered the image stamp.

Finally, I added some random sequins. 

To me they reflect the sparks that crackle from the campfire!

Gecko Galz November Feature Post

In keeping with the "Santa Claus Lane" theme,
I have some fun Christmas cards to share with you. 

Isn't this a cute image?

It goes so beautifully with the tag and papers.

I added it with foam tape for some extra dimension.

For this one, I colored the digi image with my Spectrum Noir markers.
I backed it with the Tim Holtz Postage Frame die.

Then I mounted it with foam tape on this beautiful paper,
and added it to a red cardstock card base.

Here I made a very simple card.

I just enlarged the image, matted it with red cardstock,

and adhered it to a white card base.
