Now, let's move on to my project!

This is a fun little mini album that would be perfect to document 

the birthday of a little princess.
I began by making a white cardstock album base. 

I then printed out the pages I wanted from the Fairy Tale Princess Digital Paper Pack.

I cut them to fit my pages and adhered them in place.

I used the Birthday Princess Free SVG File for the title on my front cover.
I also added the castle.

I then went through the Fairy Tale Princess SVG File and Clipart Set,

and chose all the elements I wanted to use.
I imported them into Cricut Design Space and sized them to fit.
I then used the print/cut feature for all the resized elements.

Then it was just a matter of inking the edges

and adhering them to the pages. 

I added pockets to a couple of the pages, and cut some tags to fit into them.
Most of the elements are only partially adhered.
This means that photos or journaling cards can be tucked in behind them.

Since all the elements are from the same kit,

everything coordinates beautifully. 

I took time and care in cutting the pockets, so the design is seamless.
When the pages were all finished,

I went through and added some pretty touches of glitter glue.

Finally, I tied wrapped some sparkly ribbons around the spine,
and tied them in a pretty bow!

Today I am featuring:

Heart Assortment Metal Dies, 

and the A7 Pop Up Box Gift Card Craft Die.

I still had these pretty little heart dies all over my work table from my last project.
I had pulled out the gift card die for another project.
The two die sets side by side inspired this fun card.

I pulled out a baby themed paper pad and got to playing!

Isn't it fun?

I know that in the photos the hearts kind of disappear into each other

but they don't in real life.

The gift card die forms this adorable little stitched pocket.

It's just perfect to put on the front of a card,

and fill with a lot of love.

To finish everything off,
I outlined each of the hearts with Stickles.

A baby card needs some sparkle, right?

Falling For Handmade Paper Blog Hop - With Arnold Grummer and Club Scrap

Hello, to all my friends and visitors!

Welcome to our super fun Falling For Handmade Paper Blog Hop!

I'm so happy you're here,

and I'm excited to show you what I created for the event!

I have to tell you that Arnold Grummer and Club Scrap products

are an incredible combination for creativity!

This is my first time using a Club Scrap kit,

and this Falling Leaves Collection is gorgeous!

It inspired me to create this fun mini album:

I began by choosing various cardstock pieces from the kit,

and making this fun stash of handmade paper.

To some I added Gold Mica Dust,

and to others I added Copper Mica Dust.

I was a little bit pressed for time,

so instead of making my album from scratch, as I usually do,

I opted to use a pre-made album base from Prima.

I stamped leaves over the entire album cover,

using a variety of the leaf stamps.

Then I added several layers of paper,

a double-loop bow, and one of the pretty charms.

Left side: A pocket to hold various tags and photo mats.

Right side: Pretty paper and some stamping.

Left side: Pocket holding handmade paper tag and envelope.

Right side: Cardstock page with washi tape, tag, bow and charm.

Left side: Decorated page with removable photo mat, and handmade paper tag with ribbon accent.

Right side: I love what that card says! lol 

A repeat of the left side but with a bigger tag, and the addition of the charm.

Left side: Side pocket with two photo mats.

Right side: Belly band with two photo mats.

Background has some fun leaf stamping.

I love all the papers in the kit but this brown with gold was so pretty!

Both pages: I adhered handmade paper tags for tuck spots.

They hold the photo mats.

Here's a closer look at the tag. 

I embedded a skeleton leaf into the pulp as I was making it.

I used the tag template.

This one is a little further embedded:

Left side: Holds journal spot, and handmade tag booklet with charm.

Right side: Pocket holds a photo mat and handmade paper tag.

I added some stamping, some washi tape, and pinned on a charm.

Joy Clair - Around the World CardMaking Day Blog Hop

Hello, my friends!

I'm happy that you're here! :o)

I'm thrilled to be joining a very talented group of ladies,

to bring you some fun inspiration, 
using wonderful Joy Clair Stamps!

I've used the lovely Hugs and Smiles Clear Stamps

to create my card.

Here it is:

I had lots of fun playing with gold embossing powder,

and doing some simple layering!

I even embossed around all the edges of my cardstock,

so that I had a gorgeous matching frame around the image,

as well as the sentiments.

Here's a closer look at the layers.

I used foam tape to adhere them in place.

Around the World Card-Making Day with JOY CLAIR - My Space Challenge

Welcome to the MY SPACE CHALLENGE of

Around the World Card-Making Day!

This will be a little bit of a re-post for some of you.
For many of you it will be brand new! 
I am in the process of purging and clearing my space,
so it was not possible to take updated photos. 
These are from the last space hop I did. 
The basics are all still the same.
My goal is to clear out what I'm no longer using,
make room for new things I want to focus on,
and have everything organized and pretty! :o)

I am blessed to have a bright room that measures 13' X 16'.

It's been my craft room for 18 years and has seen a lot of changes;

both in crafts and in set-up.

I really can't share the whole room in the condition it's in but I'll share some parts.

My husband is very talented, and builds me anything I want. 

He actually came up for the plan for these shelves.

The end unit is my die-cutting station. 

My Big Shot goes on top, and my dies are all close-by.

I always work standing up. 

I colour sitting down...but otherwise I'm always standing.

This is where I work.

I had my husband build a raised area for me, so I don't get a back ache.

I also work on a glass surface. 

It's just my favorite surface to work on for many reasons.

Everything I need is close at hand, either on top or under the work surface.

If I turn around from my work surface, this is what you see.

My trimmer, score board, another glass surface, and lots more, is all easily accessible.
The unit under it is from an old Eaton's Department Store.
The drawers are huge and very strong. 
You'd be shocked at how much they hold!
That's why I didn't share any photos of them open! lol

This is one of my favorite organizational spots.

It's in the black filing cabinet right under my work surface. 

The first two drawers are shallow and hold inks and other mediums.

This bottom drawer holds all my 8 1/2" X 11" cardstock. 

It's all sorted by colour, then in front of each colour is a file folder to hold the scraps in those colours. 

When I need a smaller piece I search through the scrap folder first.

 Here's a peek at one of my pegboards. 

This is my favorite ribbon organization! 

Do you know what these trays are?

They're chick feeders from a local hardware store.

Yes, actual chick feeders and they hold ribbon spools perfectly!

I love this system, and since this photo was taken I have added more!

There you have a look at where I work.
If you're interested in seeing more, it will have to wait until my room is finished! :o)

For my fun Father's Day project,

I am sharing this fabulous Coffee Cup file!
You can find it right HERE.

Remember the time when the day began with coffee and the newspaper?
Well, what's a better reminder than a cup made of newsprint?
Even better...a cup made of newsprint...filled with coffee candy!
These are actually my husband's favorite candies!
He does drink coffee but is definitely not a connoisseur,
and would much prefer a cup of the candies.

I thought this would make a wonderful Father's Day gift!

The cup is so fun to put together!

I didn't take into account the stiffness of the newsprint paper.

It's a very thick glossy paper, so it did take some extra time to manipulate the curves.

This cup holds a LOT of candy!

There's room to hide a Tim Horton's gift card in there too!

This will be a fun file to make up again at Christmas time!

This is the kind of gift my Dad would have loved!

I know that my husband will enjoy it too! :o)
