Arnold Grummer - Rose Casting Card

Hello, my friends!

 I have one final 2019 project to share with you for Arnold Grummer.

This will be a short post today,
as I'm sure many of you are still busy celebrating the Season!

I just had to make another card using my stash of paper casting pieces!

Here's my card for today:

This beautiful Rose design was another one of the Paper Casting Stamps 

provided to me by Rycraft!

Materials Used in My Project:

Arnold Grummer - White Cotton Linter;

Arnold Grummer - Iridescent Flakes;

Blender;

Rycraft Paper Casting Stamp - Rose;

Chalk: Unknown - Pink and Green;

Papers: DCWV Shimmer Cardstock - Pink;

Doily: From My Stash;

Ribbon: Celebrate It;

Marker: Spectrum Noir - Clear Sparkle.

Just as a reminder...here's how I did my casting:

 The one 8 oz bag of Cotton Linter was enough to make all of these pieces. I simply added a handful of Linter to the blender with some water, and blended. I wanted my Rose casting to have some sparkle in it, so I also added some of the Iridescent Flakes to the blender before blending. After pouring it through a strainer, I added the wet pulp into the casting stamps. Then it was just a matter of using a sponge and towel to remove all the water. I popped the shapes out of the stamps, and allowed them to air dry. You can find complete casting instructions at the Arnold Grummer Resource Page.

I wanted my Rose to have some color but I wanted to keep it soft and pretty.

I decided that chalks would give me the desired effect.

I used two shades of pink, and two shades of green.

After coloring it, I adhered it to a pink cardstock circle.

I then used foam take to mount it to my A2 tent-fold card base,

with a pretty white paper doily adhered in between.

Here you can see the pretty sparkle from the Iridescent Flakes.

I wanted just a little bit more shimmer,

so I went ever the Rose with my clear Shimmer Marker.

Finally, I added a pretty double looped bow to the top of the card:

Arnold Grummer - Christmas Candle Casting Card

 I have a new project to share with you for Arnold Grummer.

I have done my first paper casting!
Was it ever FUN,
and I'm afraid it's just as addicting as paper making!  ;o)

Here's my card for today:

My friend Michele was so helpful in getting me started.
She sent me some fun molds.
I was also generously provided these Paper Casting Stamps, shown below,
by Rycraft!

Materials Used in My Project:

Arnold Grummer - White Cotton Linter;

Blender;

Rycraft Paper Casting Stamp - Christmas Candle;

Imagine Crafts Ink: Memento - Dandelion, Pear Tart, Red, and Fantastix;

Papers: Recollections - Cardstock, My Mind's Eye - Wonderful Winter;

Ribbon: Celebrate It;

Stickles: Star Dust.

1. I began by doing all the fun casting. The one 8 oz bag of Cotton Linter was enough to make all of these pieces. I simply added a handful of Linter to the blender with some water, and blended. 2. For my first casting card, I opted to use the casting of the Christmas Candle. I swiped some ink onto a plastic sheet, and used the Fantastix to color the design. 

3. Here's a close-up look of the coloring.

4. I used a 5 1/2" square card base. I covered it with a 5 1/2" square of green cardstock. I then layered on a pretty striped piece of designer paper that was 5 1/4" square. Next, I centered a 4" square of paper to the striped background. 

5. Using double sided tape, I adhered the casting piece to the center of a 3" square of red designer paper. I decided that turning the red paper on the diagonal added some fun interest. I then adhered the red piece onto the green square using foam tape.

6. In this photo you can see that both of the designer papers I used have a beautiful glossy/sparkle finish on them. This inspired me to add some pretty Stickles to the candle design.

7. Finally, I added a little green ribbon bow that just happened to be lying on my work table.

Falling For Handmade Paper Blog Hop - With Arnold Grummer and Club Scrap

Hello, to all my friends and visitors!

Welcome to our super fun Falling For Handmade Paper Blog Hop!

I'm so happy you're here,

and I'm excited to show you what I created for the event!

I have to tell you that Arnold Grummer and Club Scrap products

are an incredible combination for creativity!

This is my first time using a Club Scrap kit,

and this Falling Leaves Collection is gorgeous!

It inspired me to create this fun mini album:

I began by choosing various cardstock pieces from the kit,

and making this fun stash of handmade paper.

To some I added Gold Mica Dust,

and to others I added Copper Mica Dust.

I was a little bit pressed for time,

so instead of making my album from scratch, as I usually do,

I opted to use a pre-made album base from Prima.

I stamped leaves over the entire album cover,

using a variety of the leaf stamps.

Then I added several layers of paper,

a double-loop bow, and one of the pretty charms.

Left side: A pocket to hold various tags and photo mats.

Right side: Pretty paper and some stamping.

Left side: Pocket holding handmade paper tag and envelope.

Right side: Cardstock page with washi tape, tag, bow and charm.

Left side: Decorated page with removable photo mat, and handmade paper tag with ribbon accent.

Right side: I love what that card says! lol 

A repeat of the left side but with a bigger tag, and the addition of the charm.

Left side: Side pocket with two photo mats.

Right side: Belly band with two photo mats.

Background has some fun leaf stamping.

I love all the papers in the kit but this brown with gold was so pretty!

Both pages: I adhered handmade paper tags for tuck spots.

They hold the photo mats.

Here's a closer look at the tag. 

I embedded a skeleton leaf into the pulp as I was making it.

I used the tag template.

Left side: Holds journal spot, and handmade tag booklet with charm.

I added some stamping, some washi tape, and pinned on a charm.

Arnold Grummer - Sticky Note Book

 I have a new project to share with you for Arnold Grummer.

Today I have created a fun Sticky Note Book,
using a kit from Arnold Grummer,
and then I've decorated it with a piece of handmade paper.

Here's what I made:

Materials Used:

Arnold Grummer - Sticky Note Books Starter Kit;

Small Piece of Handmade Paper;

Stampendous - Wisteria Cottage Stamp Set;

Stampendous - Embossing Ink;

White Embossing Powder;

Nuance Powders - Blue, Green;

Paper - K & Company;

Small Piece of White Cardstock;

Offray Ribbon - White.

Here's How I did it:

1. Following the instructions on the kit, I assembled the Sticky Note Book. 

2. Using the embossing ink, I stamped the cottage image onto a 2 1/2" x 2 3/4" piece of handmade paper. I heat embossed it with the white embossing powder. 

3. I sprinkled the blue Nuance powder in the sky area, and the green Nuance powder in the grass area. Then I sprayed the piece with water until it looked as I wanted it to. I set it aside to dry.

4. I matted the inked piece with white cardstock.

5. I wrapped a piece of ribbon around the book, making sure it was long enough to tie in a bow. I adhered it in place on the front and the back.

6. I adhered the matted, inked piece in place on the front of the book.

This project came together really fast,

and it was lots of fun to make!

Arnold Grummer - Handmade Paper Butterfly Heart Card

My blizzard day stash is almost gone...so I'll have to make some new paper soon!
However, when I was looking through what I have left,
I came across this pretty purple piece just waiting to be finished!


Here's what I made:

Materials Used:

Arnold Grummer's PAPERMILL Complete Papermaking Kit; 

Blender;

Folding Heart Card Medium Template;

Stampendous -  Butterfly Trio Stamp Set;

Stampendous - Butterfly Trio Die Set;

Inks: Archival Ink - Jet Black;

Distress Markers: Black Soot, Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord;

Water Brush;

Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen

Black Micron Pen.

Here's How I did it:

1. I used this fun template to create this card, during my paper-making blitz.

 2. Then I pulled out this lovely Butterfly Trio Stamp and Die Set from Stampendous to decorate my card.

 3. I found a scrap circle of a contrasting handmade paper in white. I stamped the butterfly in Archival - Jet Black Ink.  

4. Once the ink was dry, I used the Distress Markers and a water brush to add color to the butterfly. 

I dried it with my heat tool.

5. I then went over the entire butterfly with the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen. Set aside to dry. 

6. When dry, I adhered the butterfly body to the card, folding the wings upward, and positioning it at a slight angle. 

7. Using the micron pen, I added stitch marks around the outside edge of the card. I also added the two antenna. 

That's all there is to it. Here are some more pictures of this pretty card. 

The sparkle is so bright that it interferes with the photos.

The inside of the card is read for stamping or writing any sentiment. 

The butterfly is so pretty, and has such lovely detail.

This was a really fun card to create! I hope you'll consider making one of your own!
