A Card...For Me? Creative Inspirations #3

*Before I begin my post today, I just want to let you all know that I have added an email notification in my sidebar. I never could have imagined anyone wanting my posts emailed to them! Thank you very much!

Good morning, my friends!
I'm having a birthday next week, so I thought I better get busy and make a card for my husband to buy FROM me to give TO me! lol For those of you that don't know, that's what my husband did for my Valentine's Day card. He really liked one I made and asked if he could buy it and give it to me! :o)
I made this card using the March Cut-Aparts page from Graphic 45 Place In Time Collection from the  Creative Inspirations Store. I'm not really counting it as a full Design Team project. It's more of a filler project until I post the bigger DT project I'm working on. I'll add links to the store in the materials list so you can take a look. Don't forget...with any $60 purchase from the store you get to choose a FREE gift!
With green and purple being one of my favorite color combinations, this page was lots of fun to play with. Here's a picture of it:

Here's my simple card:

It measures 5 X 7 inches. I added a tag on the inside so my husband can write some sweet words to me! lol I considered making a double pocket card so he had lots of room  to include gift cards and money...but decided I liked this size and layout better! :o)

Materials Used:
 Ribbon, Brad: From My Stash.

Sue's been loading her store up with fabulous new goodies, so it's really worth a visit! I'll be back with more soon! :o)

This is not a 'simple' card at all.. in fact, there's quite a bit of detail on it and in my mind, it should be worth a couple hundred bucks, don't you think?
I love that colour combo Nancy, it's so pretty together.

Definitely laughing out loud! You've thought of everything for that guy, huh? Seriously BEAUTIFUL card, though, Nancy!!! I LOVE the colors of the papers! Purple is not the easiest thing to find these days (at least not the really pretty stuff!) And I do love it! That cut out sheet holds so many pretty possibilities for Spring...really love how you've used it here!!!

Nancy, what a beautiful birthday card!! Hope your hubby manages to add a little something extra inside for all your hard work. I totally agree with Marilyn, I would guess that your card is probably worth at least the price of that new Cricut you have been wanting so badly! I have my fingers crossed for you.
And did I say how much I love your card and the color combo you chose. Just stunning as always.

Nancy I got an e-mail about your post. Yea! And, what a beautiful birthday card you have made for your husband to give to "that special person." I love it and love the inside also. My husband just goes to my craft room, goes through my stash, picks one I have made and surprises me! One time he could not find one there so went to the ones I have received from others found one, covered their writing up and gave it to me. lol Anyway, in case I miss it, Happy Birthday my friend.

This is beautiful, you say it's a simple card but I disagree! Love the color combo, I'm always scared to use lots of green but green & purple is beautiful. LOL love the idea for the extra pocket for gift card/$$
