Ephemera's Vintage Garden - Loving Sweetness - Project #1

Hello and happy Monday, my sweet friends!

I'm back today to share another beautiful kit from Ephemera's Vintage Garden
This one is called "Loving Sweetness" and you can find it HERE.
Today's project is made using pieces from the Journal Kit,
as well as the Add On Bits, which is found on the same page.
Just like always, this kit is FULL of wonderful goodness!

For my first project, I have decorated a wooden box.
I found this box at my local Dollarama store for $2.
It was just begging to be decorated! :o)
I stained the entire box a pretty pink.
I used a couple of the printable pages to cover the background.
Then I fussy cut several of the Add On bits.
All the edges were inked using Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
I popped the pretty lady up on dimensionals to bring her to the forefront.
The pink pearl strand was adhered around the center square.
I adhered a second trim lower down on the box.
I added a variety of flowers, including the large rose that I made myself.
(You'll be seeing lots more of those!)
Finally, I added some pretty sparkle with Stickles.
You can see more of the sparkle if you enlarge the photo.

A closer look at the layering, and the pretty flowers.

Using my Dremel, I drilled a hole through the wooden knob,
and tied a bow through it with pink seam binding.
I also added a Tim Holtz Swivel Clasp through the hole.
Then I removed the chain, and added this pretty bauble charm to use to open the box.

Here is the inside of the box.
The other side of the lid is actually a mirror.
I held a piece of white paper in front of it for the photo.

Here's a closer look at the fussy cut printable I added to the mirror.
I also added a pink pearl swirl.

Materials Used:
Ephemera's Vintage Garden Journal Kit and Add On Bits - Loving Sweetness;
8" square Wooden Box;
Stickles: Cotton Candy, Stardust;
Distress Ink: Walnut Stain;
Distress Satin: Spun Sugar;
