Mirtillamente DT Project - Fairy Princess Layout

Hello, my friends!

I'm so excited to be sharing my first DT post for

For those of you that don't know,
this is a fabulous craft shop that's located in Italy!
So pop over and check it out!

Not only does Evelin have a beautiful store,
but she also creates fabulous kits!

Today, I am featuring a layout created with beautiful products from the shop!

First, here is what I received to play with:

Here is the layout that I created:

Isn't that a fun layout?
You can find the sweet vintage image on my Pinterest board.
I printed it out in black and white.
Then I added some pink chalk to the flowers and hair bow,
and some green chalk to the leaves.

I took this photo to show you how I created the base of my layout.
All the paper edges were distressed with both a distressing tool, and ink.
I layered the papers from back to front beginning with:
the all-over magnolia print,
the printed acetate sheet,
the 9" X 12" brick sheet,
the fussy cut water color piece,
the two chipboard boarders,
and finally the large gingham piece.
The final piece formed the mat for the photo.
I added a piece of chipboard under this paper, so that it was even with the chipboard borders.

Now all that was left was to add the embellishments!
Using the stamp set, and black ink,
I stamped the flowers and crown on a piece of the pink paper.
I then stamped the framed sentiment on the white cardstock.
I fussy cut all these pieces out, and adhered them in place.
I used foam tape for all of them.
I like the way the flowers seem to be growing out of the bricks behind the paper.

I then placed various chipboard pieces around the page.
I also used the die, and cut several pieces from the white cardstock.
I added a bit of pink and green chalk to them, and adhered them in place.
Finally, I added Diamond Stickles to the flowers, the crown,
and all the butterflies.
Here's a closer look at the sweet image:

I had so much fun creating this page!

Ooooo I like it! Think being on this DT is an excellent way to make time for some 12x12 scrapbooking..... I wish I was organised enough to make time to scrapbook too. Love the flowers growing out from behind the layers! x
