Ephemera's Vintage Garden - Ephemera's Heartsong - Project #1

Hello, my friends!

I have another beautiful printable kit to share with you this month.
This is the "Ephemera's Heartsong" kit from Ephemera's Vintage Garden
  You can find it HERE.

I was asked to participate in a Pocket Letter swap with my dear friend Tracey.
As soon as I saw this kit I knew it would be perfect for making some fun pocket letters.

Here is the front side in it's entirety:

Now I'll share some details.

The journaling cards from this kit are the perfect size to fill a pocket.
They are so fun to layer and embellish.
Left side: I added a "Hello" die, and a ribbon with a ribbon slide that says "friends".
Center: I added a cute floral tag using my paper tagger, a cup die, from Simon Says Stamp,
with a strip of washi tape behind it.
Right side: I shrunk the size of some other cards, and added one over the journaling card.
Then I added a ticket that says "Believe".

Left side: A tag that says "laugh" added with my paper tagger, and some layered tags/tickets.
Center: I assembled one of the sweet pockets from the kit.
Onto that pocket I adhered the tag that says "message".
This is where I enclosed my letter to Tracey.
The message tag has a butterfly on it.
I fussy cut a matching butterfly, and adhered the second one on the outside of the plastic pocket.
Right side: I used a small Sizzix doily die to cut a doily from one of the extra cards.
Then I added this great quote spot that says "Delight in Everyday Miracles".

Left Side: I added another sweet quote tag on top of a strip of washi tape.
The felt heart is adhered on the outside of the pocket.
Center: I fussy cut some flowers from the kit, adhered them to the journal card,
and adhered the buttons to the center of the flowers.
Right Side: I simply added another sweet quote spot,
then added the felt bird on the outside of the pocket.

This is the back of the pocket letter.
I printed one of the pages in the kit to 8 1/2 X 11.
Then I cut it down to fit the pockets.
The design carries through from one pocket to the next.
Many of the enclosed gifts are tied to what is on the front of the pocket.
For example: a teabag behind the cup die, pink felt birds behind the one with the bird, etc.
The top right pocket is another one of the little pockets.
It holds several die-cut sentiments, such as the "Hello" used on the front.

Finally, I printed another one of the pages, punched some fancy corners,
and wrapped it around the folded pocket letter.
I added a yellow doily that I crocheted, and the beautiful quote spot.
The last step was to use my paper tagger to attach the alphabet charms,
spelling out Tracey's name.

This pocket letter was so much fun to make!
I hope Tracey has fun receiving it! :o)

Eeeekkkk....I was like a giddy school girl when my son brought in the mail! My daughter sat patiently as I opened it and unwrapped! The paper line is fantastic...(everything from Ephemera's Garden always is...I'm such a fan)! We've drooled and fingered all the goodies and ooohed and awed! Your creativity is astounding my friend! Can't wait to do this again!
Hugs,
Tracey

This is fabulous. I love those flowers with the button centers; something so retro about them. The tiny bird is adorable.

What a wonderful surprise you put together for Tracey. I can hear her squealing as she opened it. I haven't tried a pocket letter yet but I just might have to after seeing yours. My daughter has done them. The images are all adorable and seem like the perfect thing to include for happy mail!
