March with Simply Crafty SVGs - Easter Fun!

Hello, my friends!

Welcome to my March Design Team post for Simply Crafty SVGs!

This month I'm sharing two wonderful Easter projects with you!
I've created them to go together as a lovely gift set.
They are the Easter Basket and Chocolate Bunny Box Card.
If you click on the names you'll be taken right to the shop.
There you will see lovely versions of these files,
along with videos showing exactly how to put them together.

Here is the set together:

Isn't it a lovely set?
I chose papers that had more of a vintage-y Spring style,
rather than a Easter-y Spring style.

I will share a couple of things that I did differently.
It's one of the joys of using these cut files...
there are so many creative options!

Okay...first up is the Easter basket:

I began with a double-sided heavy-weight cardstock.
The inside of the basket is as pretty as the outside.
Then I cut the panels from a matching solid cardstock.
Once everything was cut, all the edges were inked.

There are two basket handle options in the file.
One is solid and one has a design cut into it.
I cut both of them out.
I wove a coordinating ribbon through the cut design.
Then I adhered that handle onto the solid handle.
I attached the handle using a flower brad.
I placed the flower part of the brad on the inside of the basket.

I used a matching ribbon bow to hide the brad prongs on the outside of the basket.
Finally, I stamped the "For You" on the oval provided.

Here's a close-up of the box card:

As with the basket, once everything was cut,
all the edges were inked.
I decided that a yellow bunny would be pretty in my card.
I added rhinestones to the center of each of the flowers.
The "Happy Easter" didn't stand out very much.
I went over the yellow with a gel pen to highlight it a bit more.

There is a bow included in the file, but I added a little ribbon bow to my bunny instead.
I also added a little rhinestone for his eye.

There is a floral tag to add to the back.
It's the perfect spot to add your message.
I added one more rhinestone.

Here's one last look at the set together!
