Home Is Where...

Hello, my friends!

Today I have a another combination post share.
I've used some great products from ScraPerfect,
along with chipboard pieces from Infinity Engraving

These two really are such a great pairing of products.
Here's my project:

I began by cutting my dark blue cardstock background.
I used my ScraPerfect Perfect Crafting Pouch all over it
before stamping my house with embossing ink.
I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Then I took the five wood keys, and the one little heart, from Inifinity Engraving.
Each of the keys were also heat embossed:
four in silver and one in red.
Finally, I heat embossed the chipboard heart in red.

Then I used ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever
to adhere all the keys in place.
It works perfectly on even the skinniest little parts.

Then to finish it all off, I added the dark blue cardstock
onto a slightly larger white cardstock, tent fold card base.

I'd like to thank my friend Annie for her input on this project!

Underwater Mermaid Scene with ScraPerfect and Infinity Engraving

Hello, my friends!

Today I have a fun new combination post share.
I've used some great products from ScraPerfect,
to put together this fun underwater mermaid scene,
using chipboard pieces from Infinity Engraving

These two really are such a great pairing of products.
Here's my project:

I began by creating my background.
First, I used some Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.
Then I used a VersaMarker along the bottom of the page,
and sprinkled some embossing powders on it.
Then I added a variety of Stampendous Frantage.
I played around, heat setting in between, until I had the look I wanted.

I used the Perfect Crafting Pouch on the mermaid face, arms and torso.
I dabbed the rest of the mermaid, and the shells, with Stampendous Embossing Ink.
I sprinkled with a variety of embossing powders and glitters,
and heat set.

My mermaid is quite modest,
so she's hidden behind a very heavily embossed shell.

I then used the Best Glue Ever to adhere all the
embossed chipboard pieces to the background.

Here's a closer look at some of the embossing:

When I was finished with all the powders and glitters
I had quite a mess!
So I grabbed the Perfect Cleaning Cloth!
It did a really great job of picking up all of the stray bits that were everywhere.

This piece measures 6" square.
I think I'll use it for the cover of a Summer themed mini album.
Here's one last look at the finished project:

This was a really fun project to put together!
It was all so much fun to play with.

Another Combination Post - Infinity Engraving Done the ScraPerfect Way!

Hello, my friends!

It's time for another post for ScraPerfect,
and another project share for Infinity Engraving.
These products work so beautifully together
that I have combined my DT posts into one again.

Here's what we're making today:

I began with the Wing Medallion Chipboard Shaker Kit from Infinity Engraving.
As you can see from the photo below, there are several pieces.
Not shown are another little ring piece, and a clear acetate circle,
both used to form the shaker element.
I set both of those aside until later.
Then I reached for my Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect, and got to work.
I squirted out some glue on my work surface,
and used a make-up sponge to dab glue onto the chipboard pieces.
I didn't bother to the centers that would be covered.
No point in wasting good product!
Then I got out my Nuvo Gold Gilding flakes.
Making sure there was no sneezing going on...
...I applied the gold gilding flakes to all of the glued areas.
It stuck beautifully!
I took a soft scruffy brush and burnished everything smooth.

Then it was just a matter of assembling all the pieces.
This is where the No-Clog Writing Cap really came in handy!
The rings for the shaker element are really skinny but I was able to add such a fine line of glue.
There were no globs or seepage anywhere!
I die-cut a brightly colored paper that had gold foil on it, and inserted it behind the acetate.
Then I filled the shaker element with glitter from the Tiny Shorter Bottles of Embellies.
They're just perfect for this shaker!

I did take some Walnut Stain Distress Ink and ink around all the edges.
It's such a cool piece, don't you think?

I've placed it on a black card base to show it to you today
but I don't think it will stay there.
I think it would be cool on the cover of an album!

Or maybe it should even be this way?
Then put it on a layout and add a bunch of pretty flowers!
There are so many creative possibilities

What do you see when you look at it?

Again, it's a wonderful combination of products.
Actually, I don't think I make anything these days
without using my ScraPerfect products! lol

A Combination Card - Infinity Engraving and ScraPerfect

Hello, my friends!

It's time for another post for ScraPerfect,
and I'm combining it with my first project share for Infinity Engraving.
These products worked beautifully together to create my card!

Here's the card I made:

Here's how I did it:

I began with this beautiful, intricate chipboard piece.
It's the Butterfly Swirl from Infinity engraving.
I patted it with The Perfect Crafting Pouch
Then I used the VersaMarker on all of the vine pieces that I wanted green.
I sprinkled with green embossing powder, and heat embossed.
I then applied an even thin coat of Best Glue Ever, to each of the butterflies.
I sprinkled it with the purple glitter, and let dry.
Once it was completely dry, I brushed the extra glitter away with my glitter brush.
Then I used the Perfect Cleaning Cloth to clean up all the extra glitter.

Isn't the finished chipboard pretty?
It's such a delicate and beautiful piece!

Then I cut an A2 size dark purple cardstock background,
and a light purple cardstock dotted oval.
These were layered on a white cardstock card base.

I added dots of the Best Glue Ever to the back of the intricate chipboard piece,
and adhered it in place on the light purple oval.

I then got out some green and purple sequins, and grabbed the Embellie Gellie
After adding little dots of the Best Glue Ever to the background of my card,
I simply had to use the handy little stick to pick up my sequins...and pop them right in place,
as shown in the photo below.

Finally, I added a pretty double-looped bow, and my card was finished.

As you can see,
the products from these two shops worked beautifully together,
in helping me create this card!
