Ephemera's Vintage Garden - Paris In My Heart - Project #2

Hello, my friends!

First of all, I just want to thank each and every one of you for the lovely response to my Scripture tag.
I really appreciate your encouraging words!
I'm looking forward to making more tags to share with you! :o)

Today I'm back with my second project using the "Paris In My Heart" Printable Journal Kit from Ephemera's Vintage Garden!

This time I created a mini album that measures 5 1/2" X 8 1/2".
I kept it simple...with the plan to fill it with photos of my jaunt to Paris.
The front and back cover are chipboard layered with cardstock and the printables.
The inside pages are cardstock base with a printable page on each side.
These papers are so pretty that no further embellishment is needed.
I bound it with rings, added some ribbon and lace,
and Tim Holtz swivel clasp with a couple of lovely vintage charms.
I must say that this book really feels good to hold.

The kit includes a decorative mini file folder.
I adhered half of it here for a pocket on the inside of the front cover.
I also added the beautiful clock image.
Then I filled the pocket with kit tags and ephemera.
Isn't the page on the right side beautiful?

The cardstock pages, as well as the printables, have all been inked and distressed.

In between the next two pages I added an envelope.
I made it using my WRMK Envelope Punch Board and the matching cardstock.
It's another great place for cards and tags.

So pretty!
It will be hard to cover up the images with photos!

Here I added the pretty petal card.
On the other side it will open up for my journaling.

More pretty pages!

The pocket on the inside of the back cover is the other half of the mini file folder.
It's filled with more cards and tags.
I added the "Paris In My Heart" from the title of the kit.

The back cover matches the front.

Isn't it a beautiful kit?
Below is a photo of all the journaling cards in this album.
I'll have lots of room to write down stories and locations for all my photos.
Six large tags are included.
I stamped the back of each with a notebook stamp.
I turned one over so you can see it.

Head on over to Ephemera's Vintage Garden and look at all the fantastic printable kits available!
Consider picking up this wonderful Paris In My Heart Kit for your own use!

{Glory Art} Scripture Challenge #1 - TRUST

Happy Sunday, my friends!

Welcome to my first Scripture Challenge post of 2015!
As most of you know,
I have been participating in Patter's Scripture Challenges for several years now.
(All previous years are listed in the Labels in my sidebar)
As you may also know...I did not complete the 2014 Challenge.
With my Mom getting sick and all...I got too far behind to catch up.
I am very excited to be starting all over again this year!

The challenge for 2015 is called {Glory Art} Scripture Challenge.
You can read all the details from Patter right HERE.
There is also a button in my sidebar.

After much thought over what format I would use this year, I have decided on tags.
My tags will be #10 size which is 4 1/4" X 8 1/2".
The reason I'm going with this size is because I have an antique sewing machine drawer
that will hold them beautifully.

The word Patter gave us to study this week is "TRUST".
I used the Scripture verse found in Proverbs 3:5a:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart!"

It goes on, in the second part of the verse and the next, to say:

"...and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him
and He will make your paths straight."

When we put our focus on God, we can be confident that He will guide us in the way we should go.
What a beautiful thing it is...
to be able to completely and totally rely on God Himself to direct our path through life.
There is such peace and joy in the knowledge that we never have to face this world alone! :o)

For my tag:

I cut/tore a variety of papers, distressed and inked them, and adhered them to my tag.
The sweet image is a new release from Sushi Dolls.
I stamped the verse on white and cut it into strips.
I thought it looked great on the pretty pink brick paper...like graffiti!
I added some lace and some flowers, and finally a decorative pin!

Materials Used:
Papers: Crate Paper - Maggie Holmes;
Spectrum Noir Markers;
Stamp: itty bitty by Unity - Trust With Your Heart;
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, CTMH - Moonstruck,
Distress Ink - Walnut Stain;
Punch: EK Success - Scalloped Scallop;
Flowers: Gift from Joy;
Decorative Pin: The Nickel Nook;
Lace, Ribbon, Seam Binding: My Stash.

Ephemera's Vintage Garden - Paris in My Heart - DT Project #1

Hello, my friends!

I have a new Printable Journal Kit to share with you from Ephemera's Vintage Garden!
This beautiful kit is called "Paris In My Heart" and it's a joy to work with...just like all the other kits!

I have a mini album in progress but I set it aside to make this layout.
I was inspired by a fun sketch over at Scrapping Everyday Miracles

This is actually a title page for part of an album that I will be making after summer.
At that time I will have the appropriate photos to fill my album.
Yes, I'm going to be taking a little trip across the pond!

This wonderful kit took on a whole new meaning, and I will be making very good use of it!

With the exception of the black cardstock, the flower brads, and the letters; everything is from the kit.
The banner was made from the tags from the kit. I just printed them in the size I wanted.

Here is my layout:

Materials Used:
Ephemera's Vintage Garden Printable Journal Kit - Paris In My Heart;
Paper: Bazzill Black Textured Cardstock;
Punch: EK Success - Fleur de Lis Border Punch;
Brads: Recollectios - Flower Brads;
Letters: My Stash.

OH, HAPPY DAY!! SUSHI DOLLS are BACK!!

Happy Friday, my friends!

Seriously???
My third post in three days?
What's going on?

If you've missed some of my previous posts
please scroll down and take a peek!

I'm very glad that you're here to hear the good news!
Sushi Dolls are back...and better than ever!
You know that I've always loved playing with my Sushi Dolls.
After a long hiatus, Susi is back to creating these fun images that always make me smile.

Today I'm using "Let It Snow" which is a brand new release.
This is me standing in my back yard, shouting "Let It Snow!" lol

I colored the image with markers.
After die-cutting it out, I stamped some pink snowflakes around it.
Then I cut a piece of pretty pink Bazzill and stamped white snowflakes on that.
Cutting the top was really tricky but worth the effort.
I stamped the sentiment in pink and fussy cut it.
Finally, I added some rhinestones and a ribbon bow.

Materials Used:
Papers: Bazzill - Textured Cardstock;
Spectrum Noir Markers;
Die: Spellbinders - Labels Thirty,
Snowflake Border Die - Gift from Marilyn;
Ink: Martha Stewart - Pink Geranium,
Simon Says Stamp - White Pigment Ink;
Stamps: Tim Holtz - Mini Holidays 3,
Let It Snow - Gift from Marilyn;
Stickles: Cotton Candy;
Ribbon and Bling: My Stash.

You can find these images, as well as all the others, at the All Dressed Up Shop.

Happy Valentines

3 Chic city girls

Little Dreamer

Aren't they adorable? :o)

For my project I made an 8" page using one of the girls from the 3 Chic City Girls image.

I did something a little bit different for my project.
This sweet girl has obviously been touring London.
So I went to my daughter's London album and snagged a bunch of photos.
I put them all together in a photo collage and printed it out in sepia tones.
I went through my stash and found this great 8" travel stack.
I used a map page for the background, and added a bunch of the ephemera pieces.
I then colored my image to match the papers.
Finally, I printed and colored this great luggage stack image from Tiddly Ink.

Materials Used:
Papers: DCWV Scrapbook Kit in a Stack - Travel:
Image: All Dressed Up - 3 Chic City Girls;
Spectrum Noir Markers;
Suitcase Image: Tiddly Inks;
Ink: Distress Ink - Walnut Stain.
