Scrapbook Blessings Club - September Challenge

Hello, my friends!

Today is the start of a new challenge at Scrapbook Blessings Club!
I missed out on the fun last month because I was away.
This month it's an easy one that you can all join in on.

The September challenge is:
ANYTHING GOES!
As always, there is an optional twist:
YOUR FAVORITE TECHINIQUE!

Our generous Sponsor this month is:

Scrapping For Less

They are offering a fabulous prize!
Details can be found at Scrapbook Blessings Club.

I have created a card using products that you can find at Scrapping For Less.
The items available are listed under my card.
I also used a few of my favorite techniques:
colouring, punching, and die-cutting.

This card was inspired by the fun file folder edge dies.
They were gifted to me by a dear friend
but you can find your own at Scrapping For Less.
I also used this sweet Sushi Doll called D's Obsession.
It's an older image but it was perfect for a "back to school" themed card.
You'll find it HERE towards the bottom of the page.

Here's my card:

Materials Used:
Papers: Rcollections - Cardstock, DCWV - Hittin' the Books Paperpad;
Image: Sushi Doll - D's Obsession,
Punch: EK Success Border Punch;
Paperclip and Ribbon from my Stash.

Can be found at Scrapping For Less:
Tim Holtz Distress Ink;
Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher;
My Favorite Things - File Folder Edge Die;
Prismacolor Pencils.

Remember Me?

Hello, my dear friends!

I am finally back to share a new project with you!
It's been taking me quite some time to get back into the swing of things after my big adventure!
I hope to be around to visit you all very soon!
I've missed you! :o)

This is the second project using the wonderful "Ephemera's Heartsong" kit
from Ephemera's Vintage Garden
  You can find it HERE.

I must say that I think this is one of my very favorite kits from EVG.
It is so cheerful and versatile!

This time I opted to decorate a 6 X 6 canvas.
Using only the Heartsong Kit, and some lovely embellishments from Where Ideas Bloom,
I turned it into this fun photo/memo holder!

I have placed a beautiful flower photo in the holder, as it matched beautifully!
It could also be used for a calendar or schedule reminders.

The girl, flowers, and sentiment are all popped up on foam tape.
I added the fun star buttons in matching colours.
I added glitter to the center of the flowers and on the stars.
I also placed Glossy Accents over the words to make them shine.

Here's a closer look!
I have also added some stickles to the girls hair for added dimension.
Isn't that a great sentiment? :o)

Here you can see the depth of the canvas.
Using my Dremel, I drilled a hole in the center of the top of the canvas.
I then placed the memo holder into the hole and added glue to secure it.
Finally, I added a ribbon bow and a butterfly from the kit.

{Glory Art} Scripture Challenge #10 - Still

Hello, my friends!

 Okay, here's my last project share before I leave for my big adventure! :o)

It's another Scripture Challenge Tag!
Now that I'm finally all caught up...I'm going to be behind again! ;o)

Challenge #10 is Still.
I must say that it is one of my favorite words.
Have you ever pondered it?
Spending time being still is so important for our well-being!
Yet we live in this frantic world where there's no time to be still!

This time of year, my husband and I really enjoy spending time at the river.
We enjoy walking the trail and sitting on a bench to enjoy the view.
It's a beautiful spot to be still.

Have you every tried it? What happens when you're still?
I know that wonderful things happen when I take the time to be still.
Have you ever tried it? Please do!
Many people we see on our river walks are not interested in being still.
How can you be still when you have a cell phone glued to your hand...or your ear? lol

This image by Sherri Baldy was just right for my tag.
This sweet girl is just sitting and being still.
The Scripture verse I chose for my tag is the first part of Psalm 37:7. It says:

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him."

Isn't that beautiful? How easy is that?
Just be STILL...

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock,
MME Miss Caroline - Dilly Dally, American Crafts;
Spectrum Noir Markers;
Dies: Cheery Lynn - Spring Flower Burst Doily,
Tim Holtz - Alphanumeric Framelits;
Ribbon: Offray.

Deedee's Digis - July Digi of the Month Challenge

Hello, my friends!

Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians! :o)

Today I am sharing my project for Deedee's July Digi of the Month Challenge.
This digi is called "Ice Cream Truck" and you can find it in  Deedee's Shop.

As always, Deedee's digi sets come with precoloured images, or ones you can colour yourself.
 I chose to use the coloured images for my project.
I must say that I'm really enjoying the option!
Plus, these sets are really loaded with multiple images and sentiments!

 I didn't make a card this time.
What I did make is an 8 X 8 cover page for my Summer album.
My husband is a huge fan of ice cream.
During the Summer we often stop by Tim Hortons,
and then nibble on a cone while walking at the river.
I enlarged one of the sentiments included in the digi set.
It made the perfect title banner for my page!

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock, MME - Lime Twist;
 Image: Deedee's Digis - Ice Cream Truck.

I hope you're all having a wonderful day!
I'll be back in a day or two.
I have one more project to share before I head out on my big adventure! :o)
