A Productive Saturday Post!

Hello, my friends! I hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far! I can't believe it's been a whole week since my last post! Well, actually I can believe it! lol We have been having the most beautiful summer weather here, and I've been spending time outside! My husband also surprised me by taking a couple of days off work this week, so any plans I had for crafting went out the window and we did some fun things together instead! :o)
However, today was a different story entirely! My husband is busy working on yard stuff and I actually finished three projects...yes, THREE! I'm only showing you one though! The others will be coming soon!
I created this card for the Twist Of Faith Card Challenge #4 - Thinking Of You. The Scripture verse they shared this week is Philippians 1:3-4 and it's among my favorites, of course. Rather then write it on the front of my card, this time I wrote it on the inside. It says:
"I thank God for you whenever I think of you.
I always have joy whenever I pray for you." (NLV)

Isn't that lovely? So this card goes out to all of you, my friends! I thank God for each of you...always! Whenever I see your comment or you come to my mind, I joyfully say a prayer for you! I appreciate you! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and I'll be back soon with more! :o)

A Happy Birthday on the First Day of Fall!

Happy Fall to you all!
Today my daughter turns a "quarter-of-a-century"...or so she's been calling it for months now! She says it's old and I pointed out it's only a quarter of the way there! I'm still in the second quarter and I don't consider that old! lol
I finally finished her card yesterday and since it was supposed to be mailed a week ago...it's late! I may now be a card-maker but I am not yet a decent card-mailer or get it to you on time-er! ;o)
My daughter has just started her eighth...and final...year of university! After this year she will have her Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology. She also works part time in a jewelry store, and leads a VERY active social life. She exhausts me! lol
When Paulette from Create With TLC offered this fabulous sentiment recently it inspired the whole card! Since my daughter works in a jewelry store, she wears and sells lots of pretty bling. I had to include as much as I could on her card. The sweet image is a freebie from Milk Coffee Digi Stamps.
Oh, did you notice it's an easel card? I think it's my very first one! Enjoy your weekend, my friends! We've got beautiful weather happening here and we're going to have a family BBQ birthday party! It's just too bad the Birthday Girl can't make it! lol :o)

A Great Place To Shop!

Happy Wednesday, my friends!
This is a different kind of post for me but it answers a question that I'm often asked! Where do I buy my scrapbooking supplies? I'd like to tell you about an online Canadian store that I recently discovered. It's called Creative Inspirations. I could write a very long post about all the reasons I like this store but I'll try to keep it short and to the point. How about point form:

*Sue, the owner, offers fabulous customer service;
*great store set-up...easy to navigate;
*ability to save items to your cart until your next visit;
*store carries all Tim Holtz and Ranger products;
*fast shipping and great prices;
*store carries all the other lines hard to find in Canada;
*did I mention Tim Holtz? lol
*really love the way the products are organized.

Sue is having a sale right now! With the purchase of just $60.00 or more of store products (before shipping and taxes) you get your choice of ONE 7gypsies Kit absolutely FREE!
There are three kits to choose from valued at $25 - $35.  I'd say that's another reason to like this store! lol
Here are the three options:

HUDSON VALLEY KIT:
  includes paper and embellishments as shown (complete instructions included).

7gypsies Seal Stamp Set:

include Seal Stamp (Interchangeable), replacement ink cartridges and interchangeable seals.

Travelogue Portfolio Kit:
includes all papers and embellishments as shown (includes full instructions).

Aren't those great kits? It's hard to pick a favorite! There are a limited number of kits and the sale will be over when the kits are gone. So, remember, do all your shopping and then specify which kit you want in the COMMENTS section of the shopping cart. It won't be hard to fill your cart! Sue's got all the latest Graphic 45, Prima, Echo Park, and many more...

In case some of you may be wondering...I haven't received anything for doing this post. I know it's not my typical post since I NEVER post about stores. The reason I'm posting about this one is because I really want this one to succeed! I was very excited when I found this store because it offers something that was really lacking around here! Those of you in the States won't understand this but I went a very long time being a Tim Holtz fan before I actually got my hands on any of his products! It was the same with so many of these other companies. To find Sue's wonderful store...and find all these lines in one place! Woohoo!! Plus, with Sue's wonderful personality thrown in...it feels like you're shopping at your local store. She's open to answering any questions you may have about anything you may be looking for, as well! Oh, and if you mention Nancy sent you, there me be an extra little goodie in your parcel!

So head on over to Creative Inspirations and pick up one of these great FREE kits with a $60.00 purchase! While you're there, sign up for the newsletter so you'll get notification of the next great sale!

Note: I've added a button in my sidebar for future reference. It can be found right under my "Labels".

Some Comfort For A Friday!

Happy Friday, my beautiful friends!
Thanks so much for popping in again! I'm jumping right in with my second participation post with Twist of Faith Card Challenges! This week is Challenge #2...Comfort, and that's what my card is all about!
I love this verse found in Jeremiah 31:13. The entire verse is:

"Then young women will dance and be glad, young men and old as well.
I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow."

Yes, the Lord is my source of comfort and joy! I've had a crazy "Murphy" kind of day here today! lol  I'm thankful that I can finish this post and sit down with a hot cup of tea and enjoy some quiet time of prayer and meditation! :o)

A New Blog In Town!

Happy Monday, my friends!
Have you heard there's a new blog in town? It's called Twist of Faith Card Challenges and I'm very excited about it! It's a place to "share uplifting, healing, inspirational and scriptural card creations." Now, that kinda sounds like it's right up my alley, doesn't it?
So I've created this card to enter in their very first challenge. The theme is JOY...again, it's right up my alley! Challenge #1 - "This is the Day" and the inspirational verse they shared, and which I included on my card is:

"This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it!"
Psalm 118:24

There are only a few hours left in this challenge but there will be a new one posted soon. So head over to this great new blog and join in the fun! Twist of Faith Card Challenges will be a great place for creative encouragement! :o)

This card was created from the materials from my Simon Says Stamp September Card Kit,
with the addition of some bling and some tools from my stash.

I will be adding this to the Simon Says Stamp blog - September Kit Creations - HERE

Hymn and Scripture Challenge #10 - When We All Get To Heaven

Happy September Saturday, my friends!
I must tell you that I'm very excited because the Hymn and Scripture Challenge is back up and running! YAY! I hope you'll all be excited to see my pages continue. For those of you that don't know (or forget) Patter took a bit of a break from posting them as she made a big cross-country move with her family! I have really missed them, so it was happy news for me when the new one was posted! :o)
There's also a little bit of a funny story behind this one. During the days that I was working on "Jane's" tribute page, I was reminded of times in the past when I sang in the choir with both Jane and my Dad. Such sweet memories! There was one song that kept coming to my mind over and over and I sang it the entire time that I worked on Jane's page. At one point I even told God that it should really be one of the Hymn and Scripture Challenge picks. Yes, you guessed it...this is the song! Too fun, right? You also guessed right if you guessed that this is another one of my FAVORITE hymns! For those of you that are new to my blog, I have called every hymn my favorite! lol
I have sung this hymn in church as far back as I can remember. It's one of those songs that are always sung with joy and exuberance...and frequently brings on happy tears! This is the chorus:

"When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory!"

Isn't that beautiful? Amen! I chose verses that picked up on the rejoicing and the victory that we will have with Jesus! Please read them on my page below:
