Rinea Tutorial - Rejoice Garland - with My Scrap Chick

Hello, my friends!

Today I have a fun tutorial for Rinea.

I'm going to show you how to make this fun Christmas Garland
using these fabulous foiled papers!

I'm using the Jolly Foiled Paper Variety Pack for this project,
along with some pieces from the Metallics Foiled Paper Variety Pack.

Other materials used:

•  Cream Shimmer Cardstock
• Garland Boxes & Letters Cut File from My Scrap Chick
• Gold Cord
• WRMK Crop-o-dile
• Cutting Machine - Cricut Explore Air

1. Cut 9 boxes from the shimmer cardstock.

2. Cut three of each of the Box Panel sets from: Starstruck Ruby, Starstruck Gold, and Starstruck Emerald.

3. This file comes with the letters for the words "PEACE ON EARTH" and "JOY". I wanted to create a garland that said "REJOICE", which is one of my favorite Christmas words. I had everything but the "i", so I cut out an "H" instead and did a little surgery. These were all cut from the Glossy Gold.

4. After a little snip of the scissors on the "H", I have my "REJOICE".

5. Adhere the Box Panels onto the box before forming the boxes. Once the panels are in place, assemble the box by securing the side with adhesive. Tuck the ends in but don't glue them.

6. This is what your assembled boxes look like now. 

7. Next, refer to the photo to adhere the letters in place to the center of the panel. Reserve two boxes for the ends. 

8. Open the top flap and punch a hole at the top of the side, using your crop-o-dile, or other hole punch. Make sure it's large enough for whatever cord or thread you want to use. I centered my hole down about 1/8" from the top.

9. Here you can see the hole placement. Once all the holes were punched, I threaded the gold cord on a long needle. I started on one end, and threaded the cord through all the boxes, leaving about 1/2" of cord between them.

10. Once the boxes are secured on the cord, the top flaps can be tucked in again. They can now be secured with adhesive but they don't have to be.

11. Wrap the two end boxes with 1/4" strips of Glossy Gold, like a gift.

12. Tie a small bow from the gold cord, and add it to the center.

13. The bottom flap of the letter boxes can be opened, and a little treat can be tucked inside. Or this can be used for decorative purposes only, and the flaps can be adhered closed.

14. Secure gold rings to the ends of the cord for hanging.  

This is the first time that I have used Rinea Foiled Paper 

with my Cricut, using any cut file.

It cut so beautifully!
I'll be doing this again...and again!
