Unique Art Expressions - August Challenge

 Hello, my friends!

I'm happy to finally be sharing a new post with you today!
It's been rather quiet around here lately but I hope to change that in the days head.
Many of you know that I recently lost my brother..
I needed to take a break from everything for a time.
Then I decided to make some changes to my schedule and to my life.
Today is one of the first changes.

* * *

I have joined the Design Team at Unique Art Expressions.
This is a fun, monthly challenge blog.
Each challenge begins on the 15th of the month, and runs until the 12th of the following month.
The twist of this challenge is that you can make and enter anything BUT a card!
No cards allowed! :o)

Today is the start of our first Challenge:

Unique Art Expressions August Challenge : Add Flowers

This month we are Sponsored by:

Elena Zinski Art

Here's my project:

The Design Team was all given the same Sponsor image to work with.
It came with a pre-coloured image, as well as a line art version.
Here I used the pre-coloured image.
I used a flower stencil for the background, and inked around the edges.
I printed and fussy cut the image, and adhered it in place.
I then added a sentiment to the top, as well as
several felt flowers across the bottom.

I also decorated the back of my ATC.
I added a light green paper, and inked around the edges.
I then fussy cut the line-art image and fussy cut it oug.
I added it to the page, along with more felt flowers.
Finally, I added the hand-written sentiment.

Here is the card on my long neglected ATC holder.
You can see I have LOTS of room to add more!

Easter ATCs for White Rose Crafts

  Hello, my friends!

Here's a fun new project for White Rose Crafts LLC

I've got two Easter themed ATCs,
made with a fun collection from the shop.

It's the Pastel Spring Collection from 13@rts.
The papers are so gorgeous!
All the elements I've used to decorate my ATCs
were fussy cut from the collection.

Here are my ATCs:

I began with this very pretty paper.
It's such a lovely combination of pinks and yellows.
I cut my ATCs, then backed them with white cardstock.
I also rounded the corners and distressed the edges.

All the sweet little elements were so fun to fussy cut.
They're really tiny and so cute!
I inked around the nest in the center to give it more definition,
and then added it in place with foam tape.
The sentiment was matted with yellow cardstock,
and also added with foam tape.
Everything else was adhered flat.
Then I added some pretty glitter with Stickles.

Here I fussy cut more sweet elements,
and adhered them in place.
Again, I added Stickles for all the glitter.

Head on over to the shop and check out this wonderful collection!
It's perfect for all your Spring projects!

Maker's Movement - The Sky is the Limit

Hello, my friends!

Today I'm sharing an ATC that I made
using some fun products from Maker's Movement.

Of course I've used my Crossover II Machine for all the die-cutting.
It's such a great machine!

Here's my ATC:

Isn't that little bird sweet?
I was looking for my small scale cloud/sky paper,
when I came across this one with the pretty pink feathers.
It has kind of a wispy cloudy background behind the feather,
and I think it's perfect for this project!

I stamped the flower, the bird, and the banner on white cardsock,
using black ink.
Then I die-cut them all out before adding them to the ATC base.
I added the flower to the top left corner.
I used the flower and leaf stamp from the set to create a little nest for the bird,
using brown and black ink.

Then I used little foam squares to add the banner and the little bird.
Finally, I used my makers to do just a little bit of pale colouring and shading.

This stamp set is so perfect for those of us that like to make ATCs,
and lots of other fun little projects!

I don't think I could get much "bling-ier" than this! lol

I simply adhered my decorative paper to the ATC base,
and inked around the edges with gold ink.
Then I added the fun ornament sticker,
along with the two little flower stickers.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment in place.

It makes a very festive looking ATC!

Fun With Foil! - Snowflake ATC

Hello, my friends!

Today I'm happy to be sharing another post for ScraPerfect
I'm combining this post with my Happy Little Stampers ATC Challenge post,
since the November Challenge begins in just a few hours.

The November ATC Challenge is: DIE CUTS.
For some reason I couldn't grab the challenge photo.

Here is my ATC:

It just happened to be snowing outside,
as I was working on this project.

I cut the white ATC base using the Sizzix ATC die.
I then cut a second one from the designer paper.
Then I chose two of the beautiful ScraPerfect Transfer Foils,
one in blue, and one in an iridescent color.
I also chose some pretty snowflake dies.

I then cut two pieces of white cardstock.
Using a makeup sponge,
I applied a coat of Best Glue Ever to the white cardstock.
I also sponged around the edge of my assembled ATC.
Once the Best Glue Ever was clear and tacky,
I laid the foil sheet over it and burnished it with my fingers.
I then peeled the foil sheet off,
and was left with this fabulous foil piece.
When you look at the blue piece,
you can see that the sponge swipes are all picked up by the foil.
Since I'll be using small dies, I'm not concerned.
Those marks won't show.

I then laid the snowflake dies onto each piece,
and ran them through my Big Shot.
Then it was just a matter of adhering them in place on my ATC base.

They're all so beautiful and sparkly!
This ATC was lots of fun to make!

Other Materials Used:
Papers: Maja Design - Home for the Holidays,
White Cardstock;
Dies: Sizzix - ATC Die, Echo Park - Snowflakes #1;

ScraPerfect - ATC Fun!

Hello, my friends!

Today I'm happy to be sharing another post for ScraPerfect

I've created another fun ATC with the help of ScraPerfect products.
I've also paired these products with some more Makin's Clay pieces.
These products really work well together,
especially when making a fun little ATC!

Here's my finished ATC:

I began with a pretty green background paper.
Then I chose several of my finished clay pieces.
These were molded using the green Makin's Clay,
and a fun Mod Podge Mold.
Then I used the Best Glue Ever to adhere my clay pieces to the base.
I then used the Embellie Gellie to pick up and place
the lovely little green flowers in place.
A tiny drop of the Best Glue Ever is all they need to hold them in place.

Finally, I took a sponge, and some white ink,
and inked around the edge of the ATC.
I also inked the top of the clay pieces to highlight all the detail.

Happy Little Stampers - ATC Challenge - Ocean/Sea

Hello, my friends!
It's new Challenge time at Happy Little Stampers ATC Challenge.
The September Challenge is:

Here is my ATC:

I used a collage sheet from Gecko Galz called Summer Seas,
which you can find right HERE.
I added it to my ATC base, and then I added the "SEA" from the title using foam tape.

I then added a bead of glue all around the edge,
and sprinkled it with my most sand-like glitter.
Of course it added some fun sparkle!

Finally, I added some of the smallest seashells from my massive collection.

That's all there was to it!
Thanks so much for stopping in to take a look!
Now it's your turn! :o)
