Swedish House Crafts - Guest Post - Coffee Time Album

Hello, my friends!

I'm back with my second and final Guest DT post for Swedish House Crafts
This time I have created a fun little mini album,
featuring the fabulous Laserowe Love - Coffee Time Collection

The base of the album is made from some coordinating cardstock.
All the papers and tags are from the Coffee Time Collection.

 The album measures 6" X 5 1/2" with 1 1/4" spine.

Here's the cover spread:

For those of us that love coffee,
this album is the perfect place to house coffee recipes or coffee photos,
or both!

I distressed all the paper edges with a distress tool.
All the tags and cards have been inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

I've added some cardstock tags to use as photo mats,
or recipe cards.

I left the center pages plain because they're so fun!

Here I've added belly bands to hold the tags in place.

On these pages I added coffee colored doilies.
They serve as tuck spots for more cards.

Finally, the back cover:

Other Materials Used:
Papers: DCWV - Textured Cardstock;
Ink: Walnut Stain Distress Ink;
Tools: Tim Holtz Distress Tool;
Doilies: Recollections.

Swedish House Crafts - Guest Spot

Hello, my friends!

I know it hasn't been very long since I was on the DT of Swedish House Crafts.
Today I am back with a Guest DT post for them!
Maybe they missed me? ;o)

So I have a fun project to share with you!
I have combined a sweet Paper Nest Dolls image,
with some fun Laserowe Love products,
to create this fun hanging.
I think it would be a lovely "Baby Sleeping" sign!

I began with this sweet Hippo stamp from the Paper Nest Dolls - Hippos Stamp Set.
I stamped it onto watercolour paper, using Ranger Archival Ink.
I then used a variety of watercolour pencils, along with a water brush, to colour it.
I set it aside to dry.

Then I moved on to the Laserowe Love - MDF - Bookmark D
I thought this would be the perfect base for my little hanging.
I used a pretty paper from the Laserowe Love - Lily Flower Collection
and covered the front and the back of the MDF piece.
I inked around it with a pretty turquoise ink.

Next, I took the Laserowe Love - MDF - Frame Banner, using the front frame piece only.
I covered the front with Stampendous Embossing Ink,
then sprinkled it with Beach Cruiser Embossing Powder from Sparkle 'N Sprinkle.
I then heat set it with my heat gun.
I then repeated the process once more to get a really nice thick coating.

Then I die-cut the coloured image in a circle to fit behind the embossed frame,
and adhered it in place.
I then adhered the framed piece onto the base piece.
I added some pretty turquoise pearls; five along the top, and three on the bottom.

Finally, I tied a pretty yellow ribbon into a double-looped bow,
and added it to the top of the embossed frame.
I also added another yellow ribbon loop to the top of the base piece to serve as a hanger.
Now it can be hung on the wall, the door, or even from the door knob.

Swedish House Crafts - Paper Nest Dolls - Princess with Frog

Hello, my friends

Today I have a new project share for Swedish House Crafts!
This will be my last DT project after almost two years!
I've made the tough decision to step down.
*sniff*sniff*

I sure did have fun making this one though!

Today I'm featuring the adorable
Paper Nest Dolls - Princess with Frog Stamp.
This is part of the fantastic Fairytale Collection!

Here's my project:

Isn't that fun?
I used the Laserowe Love - MDF - Crowned Heart B for the background.
I first masked off the crown area, and applied adhesive to the heart.
I adhered the lovely paper from the Laserowe Love - Lily Flower Extra Collection.
Then I masked off the heart section,
and painted the crown part with my Art Alchemy - Pink Blush and Vintage Rose paints.
I then went around the heart with the Art Alchemy - Lime Peel Paint.

That metallic paint gives a beautiful shimmer!

I colored the adorable image with my Spectrum Noir Markers.
I added Star Dust Stickles to the crowns.
Then I fussy cut the image out.

I took the beautiful - and very intricate - wreath,
I first colored it with the same markers,
and then dabbed it with the shimmery paints.
When it was dry, I adhered it to the center of the heart.

I then added the colored image in place,
in the center of the wreath.
Finally, I added some Nuvo Crystal drops to the crown,
and randomly around the heart.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Big thanks to Suha and the Team for two years of Crafty Fun!

Swedish House Crafts - Happy New Year's Card

Hello, my friends!

With my first Swedish House Crafts post of 2019...I wish you all a Very Happy New Year!

Today I'm featuring the beautiful Maja Design - Christmas Season Collection
My card was inspired by this lovely journaling card from the collection.
I began by cutting it out and inking the edges.

I mounted it with foam tape onto the pretty polka-dot paper,
leaving the wonderful border strip along the bottom of the paper.
I then adhered it onto the coordinating cream colour cardstock
before adhering it onto a white card base.

Here's a close-up look at the lovely New Year Greeting:

I added some Diamond Stickles to all the foliage in the image,
to add some lovely sparkle.
Finally, I added a pretty glitter ribbon bow to the top of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!
I'll see you again soon with another fun project!

Swedish House Crafts - Traditional Christmas Card for Allsorts Challenge

Hello, friends!

I'm here today with a fun Christmas card share for Swedish House Crafts
I've created this lovely traditional card in honour of the Challenge
that Swedish House Crafts is sponsoring over at the Allsorts Challenge Blog
where the challenge is to use traditional Christmas colours.

Here is my card:

The papers are all from the Pion Design - To My Valentine Collection
I cut a strip of paper, and folded it into a banner shape.
Then I cut a smaller strip, and stamped the "Merry Christmas",
I then adhered that strip onto the banner.
I inked all the edges with gold metallic wax before adhering it in place.

I colored the chipboard with the gold wax,
and then die-cut a circle from red paper to back it.
Once it was adhered to the card base,
I added some red glitter glue into the heart.

Finally, I added a pretty bow made from the Brick Red Ribbon.

Here's one last look at the finished card:

Swedish House Crafts - Congrats Card

Hello, my friends

As promised, I'm back today with another card share for Swedish House Crafts!

Today I'm featuring another of the Roxstamps word dies.
This time it's the "Congrats" die.
These dies are so lovely and they cut beautifully too!

The papers are all from the beautiful Pion Design - To My Valentine Collection.

I tied a pretty triple-looped bow, and added some lovely red paper flowers.
I added a touch of Diamond Stickles to the flowers for a bit of sparkle.

Here's a closer look at the lovely die-cut word.
I also added some Stickles to the flowers on the pretty printed roses.

Swedish House Crafts - Memories Card

Hello, my friends

After a little holiday, the DT of Swedish House Crafts is back at work!
I'm happy to be sharing a new card with you today!

I used this sweet image, from the Family Moments page from Pion Design, to create my card.
It reminded me of the days when my girls were little
and they loved to listen to me read their bedtime stories!
Where did those days go?

I've used a sweet paper from the Pion Design - Easter Greetings Collection,
and matted the image with a beautiful teal page from Mr Tom's Treasures.
I added this wonderful "Memories" from Roxstamps.
It's perfect with the vintage image.
Then I added some flat sequins randomly around the page.

The image is so lovely!
It's got a pretty tint of blue and pink.

Finally, I added a few of the lovely Barley stems that I braided together.

Here's one final look at the finished card:

I'll be back on Monday with another fun project!

Swedish House Crafts - Soft Summer Card

Hello, my friends!

I'm back with a new project share for Swedish House Crafts!
This will be the last one until September.
The DT has been given the month of August off!
We must have been good, right? ;o)

Today I'm featuring this beautiful 3D Embossing Folder from Crafter's Companion.
It's called Textured Swirls, and it's really lovely!
I embossed a 5 X 7 piece of white cardstock,
then did some simple colouring of the raised portions with my chalks.
The chalks give it such a soft appearance.

Then I die-cut some loopy flowers, using a Gummiapan die,
and added them in double layers.
I also added some fussy cut butterflies left over from other projects.
Both the flower paper and butterflies came from the Pion Design Easter Greetings Collection.

Here are some close-up photos of all the details.
I added pearls to the center of the flowers.

Finally, I went in and added Diamond Stickles to everything.
The entire card has a lovely sparkle!
There's lots of room in the center of the card to add a sentiment.
I left it plain though because I really liked the texture of the embossed wood showing!
It's an easy way to make a beautiful card, with or without the extra embellishments.
There are lots of creative possibilities with this one!

Thanks for stopping by today!
I'll see you again soon with another fun project!
