More Pages in my Traveler's Notebook

   Hello, my friends!

I'm still busy trying to catch up and schedule all the projects I created
while we were living out of a suitcase.

Today I have two pages in my Traveler's Notebook.
This was an easier format to create with, considering the limited supplies I had.
It was just fun and easy to put these together.
Again, I have combined Kate Hadfield Designs and Tape Runner adhesive.

Here's the first:

This page is in my "Favorites" TN.
Music is definitely one of my favorite things!
Yes, I do still have a great collection of records,
and I even a few cassette tapes kicking around! ;o)

Here's my second page:

I do love a good tea party!
I had the pleasure of attending a lovely tea party during our wandering period.
That's what inspired this page.
We enjoyed tea, coffee, and an incredible assortment of yummy treats!
It's true that tea always tasted better sipped from the good china! :o)
For this page I used Weekend At Home Digital Paper, and Tea Party.

Kate Hadfield with Tape Runner - Traveler's Notebook Page

  Hello, my friends!

Today I have another project share for Kate Hadfield Designs.

Again, I've used Tape Runner adhesive to put it all together.

It's another Traveler's Notebook page...just for fun!
I put it all together and then came across the quote the next day.

I may have said this before but these doodles are so fun to play with!
You can just print/cut and then glue it in your notebook.
There are endless creative possibilities!

House Hunt

   Hello, my friends!

Today I have another project share for Kate Hadfield Designs.

Again, I've used Tape Runner adhesive to put it all together.

I used products from both of these companies to make another
fun page in my traveler's notebook.

This does a really great job of depicting my life at this moment:

If you haven't yet heard...we're on the hunt for a new house.
Ours sold sooner than expected, and we haven't found a new one yet.
We have seen such an interesting variety of different houses.
I couldn't resist using these adorable houses for this page.
I'll be documenting our search on the next page in the journal.

Time to Relax Card

  Hello, my friends!

It's time for a new project share for Maker's Movement!

I used my Crossover II Machine for die-cutting the larger pieces,
but I also used my fabulous MiniMaker Die Cutting Machine for all the little pieces.

I've also used a combination of really fun stamps and dies,
that are all listed and linked below.

Then I put everything together with my Tape Runner Adhesive.

Here's my card:

Isn't that fun?
I think I always say that, don't I?

I began with the Slimline Essentials card base,
and then added the pretty summery paper.
I die-cut all the little Polaroid Frames from cream cardstock.
Then I cut all the inside frame pieces from coordinating patterned papers.

I stamped all the fun summer images,
inked the edges, and inserted the pieces into the frames.
I adhered them in place onto the card base using my Tape Runner adhesive.

I positioned all the pieces to look like photos scattered on a table,
with the "Time to Relax" being the main focus!

This card was lots of fun to put together!
I think it could be be done in any other seasonal theme,
with a simple change of papers and stamps!

"Audaciously Awesome" Cards

  Hello, my friends!

Today I have another project share for Kate Hadfield Designs.

Again, I've used Tape Runner adhesive to put it all together.

Kate Hadfield Designs had a fun collaboration with The Lilypad this month.
I had the chance to work with a fabulous digital kit called "Audaciously Awesome".
This kit combines the talents of Kate Hadfield and Kim Jensen.

It is such a fun kit, and depicts everything that my daughter loved best in her younger years!

As always, with these digital kits, I printed everything out and fussy cut the images.
This time I have created a total of eight fun cards.

Here they are:

These two cards measure 5 1/2".

The two above, and the four below, are all A2 size.

I had so much fun putting these all together!
The papers and elements are all so COOL! ;o)

A fantastic kit for any digital or hybrid projects!

Just Straight Chillin'

 Hello, my friends!

I'm back with a fun new project for Maker's Movement!

I used my great little MiniMaker Die Cutting Machine
for all the die-cutting on this project.

I've also used:

These dies and stamps are so fun to play with!
We've been having a crazy hot heat wave,
so it was fun to think about being in the water with this cute unicorn.

Here's my card:

So cute!
I stamped and die-cut the unicorn from a floral print paper.
I used my pencils to add a bit of shading and coloring.
I colored the unicorn horn with stickles,
and the glasses with Glossy Accents.

I added the cloud background to my card base.
Then I die-cut all the waves from a pretty gingham paper.
The Tape Runner Adhesive did a great job of adhering around all the curves.

Then to finish everything off,
I stamped the sentiment onto the background.

Another Spread In My "Favorites" Traveler's Notebook

 Hello, my friends!

Today I have another project share for Kate Hadfield Designs.

Again, I've used Tape Runner adhesive to put it all together.

Have I mentioned how much fun I've been having with these pages?
Kate has so many fun doodles of my favorite things.
They are so much fun for me to print, and fussy cut out,
before putting them in my TN.
Of course, they're also perfect for those of you who like to create digitally! ;o)

Here is my next "favorite" thing:

I really do love most, if not all, colours.
However, I have long called red my "happy" colour, so it is a definite favorite!
These doodles are such a beautiful rich red too!

I used a red alphabet for "RED",
and then found a few other fun red doodles.
I added just the red polka dot strip from the printed paper.

How could I not add some pretty red flowers, and red paint?
More of my favorite things!

Sometimes it's fun to just document some of these simple things,
such as your favorites.
As you know, favorites can change, or the list can grow.
It will be fun to look back on this notebook years from now! :o)

Another One of My Favorites!

  Hello, my friends!

Today I have a fun new project for Kate Hadfield Designs.

I've used Tape Runner adhesive to put it all together.

Again, I have combined these terrific products
to create another page in my "Favorites" Traveler's Notebook.
I think this favorite is one that many of you will relate to!

Here's my page:

I began by printing the purple page from the Sketchbook Pages 1.
I then chose all the elements I wanted to use,
I then used the print/cut feature on my Cricut Explore Air to cut them out.

This doodle even looks just like my French Press!
I'm having so much fun putting this "favorites" book together,
using these fabulous images from Kate Hadfield Designs!

Bricks and Butterflies!

  Happy Wednesday, my friends!

It's time for a new project share for Scrappy Tails Crafts!
I've used the fabulous Tape Runner adhesive on my project too!

I had so much fun putting this card together!
I've used a fabulous combination of great dies!

I had planned to take some "in progress" photos for you
but I was having so much fun that I forgot! ;o)

Here's my card:

Here's what I did:
First, I make my kraft cardstock card base.

Next, I took three pieces of heavy weight watercolor paper.
I used the smoosh technique with my water soluble crayons.
If you're not familiar with this technique, I will explain.
With the red/rust/brown crayons, I scribbled on my glass mat.
I misted it well with water, and let it sit for a few seconds.
I then used a scrap piece of clear acrylic to pick up the color.
I then laid the acrylic onto the watercolor paper, transferring the color.
I continued this process until I had a final colored piece that I liked.
Then I set it aside to dry.

I repeated this process with various greens,
and then again with a blues/purples combination.
When the colored watercolor pieces were all dry,
I proceeded with my die-cutting.

I cut the Slimline Brick Background Metal Craft Die twice.
Once from plain watercolor paper, and once from my red colored piece.
I took all the bricks from my red piece and mixed them up.
I then used my pretty Pink Tape Runner,
and ran adhesive all over my kraft card base,
leaving the small border edge clear.

This adhesive makes it so easy to put a card like this together.
It grabs all the little pieces and holds them tight!
It made it a very quick process with no mess!

First, I laid the plain frame onto the adhesive on the card front.
Then I proceeded to place all the red bricks back into the plain frame.
This way there is not uniform shading, and it looks more like a brick wall.
It was so much fun to do!

Next, using the green piece, I die-cut the leaves from the Assorted Leaves Metal Dies.
I curled and shaped the leaves, and adhered them in place on my brick wall.

Then, using the blue/purple piece,
I die-cut the butterflies from the Flying Butterflies Metal Craft Die.
I adhered the butterfly backgrounds in place on the bricks.
With the detailed butterfly cuts, I folded up the wings,
and adhered just the body in place on the background.
Finally, I added stickles to the butterfly wings for some pretty sparkle!

This card has so much wonderful dimension!
It's such a great combination of dies!
The creative possibilities are endless!

One of My Favorites in My New Traveler's Notebook

 Hello, my friends!

Today I have a fun new project for Kate Hadfield Designs,

I've used fabulous Tape Runner adhesive on all the fun doodles.

I've decided it would be lots of fun to fill the pages of a traveler's notebook
with all of my favorite things.
I'll be including music, books, tv shows, and much more!

Today I'm sharing one of my favorite tv shows.
Regardless of the teasing I have received,
I still watch this show almost every day.
This show ran from 1984 until 1996.

At this point I know what the characters are going to say before they say it! lol
Yet I still watch it...it's like spending time with an old friend.
My husband wonders why anyone would want to be Jessica's friend,
as so many of them die! ;o)

Here's my page:

It was this Snippets Alphabet that inspired this project.
Don't they look like letters cut out of magazines?
I thought the red slime, from You've Been Slimed,
was most suitable for the top of this page.
The background page came from the Weekend At Home Papers.

I used the great retractable Tape Runner to stick everything down.
It's fabulous to put in my traveler's notebook bag.
I especially love the retractable feature when I toss it in with everything else.
I went around two sides of each letter with a watercolor pencil,
and followed that up with my waterbrush.
It adds a nice shadow and gives the letters some extra dimension.

To finish off my fun page,
I added some pretty flowers from Art Joodles: Mixed Bag 3.
I think they help give the page a less "sinister" appearance! :o)

Sharing Some Fun New Things!

Hello, my friends!

Today I want to share some fun things I've been working on!

I also want to share two new shops with you,
and I must say that their products together are a great combination.

First, I have these fun pockets for a junk journal I'm working on.

These pockets and cards, along with the tags to follow,
Most of you know that I love to work with digital kits,
and this one is gorgeous!
I love EVERYTHING in Karen's shop!
So you'll be seeing LOTS more!

Next I have some fun collage tags, using the same kit.
I used some manila tags for the base.
The patterned papers and all the elements are from the kit.
I added just a bit of burlap, linen, book page, and lace.
The colors in this kit are fantastic!
I can't wait to show you the finished journal.

The next two photos show you a closer look at each tag.
They also introduce you to the second shop I want to share with you.
I'm now on the Design Team for Tape Runner.
This was my first time using their adhesive,
and I have to tell you that it's fabulous!
The green one shown in this photo is actually a retractable tape runner.
You can read all the details of this one HERE.
I seriously appreciate the retractablility of this adhesive! ;o)

Here are the other two tags,
along with another Tape Runner adhesive.
You can read all about this pretty pink dispenser HERE.
This is also a really great adhesive.
It's not retractable like the other one
but it has a little flip-open cover that stays attached.

These tags and pockets were so much fun to put together,
and I can't wait to put them in my junk journal.
I'll be sharing that with you soon!

I'll be sharing much more from Tape Runner too,
in the months ahead.
This adhesive makes it so easy to put things together,
with no mess or fuss!

 * * * * *
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I'll be back soon with more fun to share!
