ScraPerfect - Putting Together an Octagonal Box

Hello, my friends!

Today I'm happy to be sharing another post for ScraPerfect!  

I picked up this fun cut file from Snapdragon before they shut down. 
ScraPerfect has the perfect products to help me put it together,
quickly and easily!

First, I used the Best Glue Ever with the No-Clog Writing Tip.
It worked beautifully for assembling the box,
and adding the panels.

I went on to assemble the lid.

I can add a fine line of glue to all the tabs,

and then fold them all over and they'll stick beautifully.

The fine tip really helps to adhere a doily like this.

Then I decided to pull out some of my non-adhesive bling.

  I went through and pulled out some pink and clear bling.

I added little drops of Best Glue Ever to all the spots 

where I wanted to add bling.

Then I grabbed the Embellie Gellie, 

and used it to grab the bling, and put it in place.

Here's the lid all blinged up:

Rinea - Patriotic Pop Up Box

Hello, my friends!

Today I have a fun tutorial for Rinea.

I'm going to show you how to make these fun
Patriotic Pop Up Boxes, 
using these fabulous foiled papers!

With Canada Day coming on July 1st,
and Independence Day coming on July 4th,
I thought this would be a fun project to share.

I'm using the "Patriotic" collection for this project.
It's lovely that this collection works for the colors of both countries! 
These little boxes measure approximately 3 1/2" x 4 1/2".
Wouldn't they look wonderful decorating a party table?

Here's how I did it:

Materials Used:

Rinea Patriotic Foiled Paper Variety Pack

Plain Self Closing Box - Free Cut File from Simply Craft SVGs

Cricut Explore Air Machine

Small Maple Leaf Die

White Cardstock

Tacky Glue

1. I began by cutting the box base out of white cardstock.

2. I then cut the layer pieces, using each of the colors of Starstruck Foiled Paper, in the Patriotic Foiled Paper Variety Pack. 

3. Using the maple leaf die, I cut several leaves out of the Ruby Red Starstruck Foiled Paper.

4. While the box base was still flat, I adhered all the foiled pieces in place on the box base. I used tacky glue to do this. Then I adhered the Silver and Ruby Red to the other box, along with the maple leaf, making it the red and white...and very Canadian. I added the the Sapphire and Ruby Red to one box - making it red, white and blue. Some of my American friends may have other little bits to add to make it appear more American! ;o)

5. Then it's just a matter of adhering the tab at the side, and popping the bottom tabs into place. 

The photo above shows the side view, and the photo below shows a view of the back. 

Here's one last look at the finished boxes:

These would look so festive for any occasion!
You could fill them with goodies, and give them away,
or just keep them on hand for some fun decor items!
They're so easy and fun to make!

Arnold Grummer - Stamping on Handmade Paper Card

Hello, my friends!

 I have a new project to share with you for Arnold Grummer.

Today I'm using more handmade paper from my blizzard day stash!
My stash is almost gone...so I'll have to make some new paper soon!
Yay! It really is fun to do! :o)

Today I'm sharing a lovely stamped card.

It is called: Leafy Imprint.

Here's my card:

Materials Used:

Arnold Grummer's PAPERMILL Complete Papermaking Kit; 

Blender;

Stampendous -  Leafy Imprint Perfectly Lear Stamps Set

Inks: Stampin' Up - Old Olive, Lucky Limeade;

Green cardstock card base;

Ribbon: Celebrate It.

How I did it:

Today I'm using the paper that I made from packaging paper.

I haven't really done any stamping on handmade paper,

so I was anxious to use this beautiful leaf stamp to try it out.

I chose a couple of stamps I wanted to use.

Once I had them loaded with ink, I misted them with a spritz of water before stamping them.

I love the way the stamping turned out!

I used both greens on each imprint.

I mounted the finished piece on a green cardstock card base.

Then all it needed was a pretty green bow!

My Scrap Chick - Multiple Projects with One Cut File

Hello, my friends!

Welcome to a new DT post for My Scrap Chick!

Today I'm featuring the fabulous
Botanical Tall Twigs Cut File,
which you can find HERE.

I have to say that I love this file!
I have two projects made to share with you today,
and pieces ready to go for many more.

First here is the card I made:

It's just a simple card that features only one

of the TWELVE elements included in this file!

I did some fun die-cutting and layering,

and then added the flower with foam tape.

Finally, I added some sequins and a ribbon bow.

Can you see the shimmer on the flower?

Well, if you look at the photo below, you'll see lots of shimmer.

I cut all of the shapes out of watercolor paper,

and then sprayed them with Perfect Pearls Mists.

Aren't they pretty?

Guess what else I did?

Before I sprayed them, 

I laid them all in position on a piece of heavy black cardstock. 

So here is my second project to share.

I've created an Art Journal page.

Once the page was dry,

I went in with my special metallic gel pens 

and outlined all the sprayed images. 

Isn't that a fantastic page?

I think it's waiting for just the right quote to be added to the center!

Another Combination Post - Infinity Engraving Done the ScraPerfect Way!

Hello, my friends!

It's time for another post for ScraPerfect,
and another project share for Infinity Engraving.
These products work so beautifully together
 that I have combined my DT posts into one again.

Here's what we're making today:

I began with the Wing Medallion Chipboard Shaker Kit from Infinity Engraving. 

As you can see from the photo below, there are several pieces.

Not shown are another little ring piece, and a clear acetate circle,

both used to form the shaker element. 

I set both of those aside until later.

Then I reached for my Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect, and got to work.

I squirted out some glue on my work surface, 

and used a make-up sponge to dab glue onto the chipboard pieces.

I didn't bother to the centers that would be covered. 

No point in wasting good product!

Then I got out my Nuvo Gold Gilding flakes. 

Making sure there was no sneezing going on...

...I applied the gold gilding flakes to all of the glued areas.

It stuck beautifully!

I took a soft scruffy brush and burnished everything smooth.

Then it was just a matter of assembling all the pieces.
This is where the No-Clog Writing Cap really came in handy!
The rings for the shaker element are really skinny but I was able to add such a fine line of glue.
There were no globs or seepage anywhere!
I die-cut a brightly colored paper that had gold foil on it, and inserted it behind the acetate.
Then I filled the shaker element with glitter from the Tiny Shorter Bottles of Embellies.
They're just perfect for this shaker!

I did take some Walnut Stain Distress Ink and ink around all the edges.

It's such a cool piece, don't you think?

I've placed it on a black card base to show it to you today

but I don't think it will stay there.

I think it would be cool on the cover of an album!

Or maybe it should even be this way?

Then put it on a layout and add a bunch of pretty flowers!

There are so many creative possibilities

What do you see when you look at it?

 Again, it's a wonderful combination of products.
Actually, I don't think I make anything these days
without using my ScraPerfect products! lol

Okay, with all that fun business out of the way, 
let's move on to my project. 

I had the pleasure of using the Passport to Paris Kit:

Here's the layout I created:

Originally, I had different photos in mind for this layout. 

Then the fire happened at the Notre Dame Cathedral,

so I thought these photos would be more appropriate.

I took these photos when I was in Paris 4 years ago.

I also have some beautiful photos of the interior of the cathedral,

and of the gorgeous ceiling,

but these photos were perfect with the coloring of the kit.

I distressed all the edges of the papers with both tool and ink.

I added stenciling to the peach colored background cardstock,

using the Mini Carte Postale Stencil from TCW.

Then I added some fun stamping around the page,
using the gorgeous Vintage Paris stamp set from Cavallini.
There's even a Notre Dame Cathedral stamp.

I punched a hole in this tag and added some string.

I added a date stamp, and wrote in the date.

I had the month and year but was going to check on the day,

so I'll add that when I know it.

The elements in this kit made it so easy to put this page together.
There was lots more that I didn't add too!

Simply Crafty SVGs - Box Card Series - Part 6

Hello, my friends!

Welcome to a new project share for Simply Crafty SVGs!

This is Part 6 of my Box Card Series.

Today I'm sharing one of the newest releases, and it's super cute!
This is the Buzzing Bees Box Card!
It even comes with an envelope cut!
I've tweaked the card a little bit,
as I plan to give it to my husband next week.
It's going to be our 34th Anniversary and I think that deserved a special card! :o)

 Here's a closer look at the card:

I've added some extra flowers 

because you can never have too many flowers.

I've used just two of the three bees,

and I've placed them side by side on the hive.

I also added a pink heart, with our initials, to the tree trunk,

before running it through the embossing folder.

Then I combined several different stamps to put the sentiment together.

Here's a look at the back:

This is what it looks like flattened for the envelope:

This box card file has a few more pieces than some of the other ones I've shared.

However, it's well worth the extra time and fun of putting it together!
